To call Wonder Woman Gal Gadot a total badass is selling her short. It’s clear the Justice League star is a fierce role model for her two daughters, whip smart, and total fitness inspo (she packed on 17 pounds of muscle to play the Amazonian superhero!). But, she also has a pretty adorable love story with her husband, Yaron Varsano.

And there’s another chapter to add to it: The actress and businessman/real estate developer just announced that they’re expecting their third child. "Here we go again," Gal captioned a sweet Instagram of herself, her husband, and their daughters, Alma and Maya, touching her belly.

ICYDK, Gal and Yaron have been married for 12 years, and they’re #relationshipgoals to the max. Their Instagram accounts are proof.

The couple shares throwback photos, declarations of love (that sound truly authentic), and celebrate their beautiful—and growing!—family on the reg.

So, how’d they start? Here’s a timeline, a.k.a. a lesson in love:

2006: Gal and Yaron met in the cutest way.

The duo met under dreamy circumstances: at a party in the Israeli desert. “It was all about yoga, chakras, and eating healthy—we didn’t exactly find ourselves there, but we found each other,” she told Glamour magazine. (Swoon!)

2006: He promised a proposal.

“He told me on our second date he was serious and wasn’t going to wait more than two years to ask me to marry him. Fast-forward two years; he proposed,” she told Glamour. She credits their no-nonsense romance for their love story success. “Both of us said, ‘No games. Let’s just be honest and keep it simple,” she said.

2007: They’ve been in love for a long time.

Even though he’s 10 years her senior, it’s clear they were instant best friends. Just look at this throwback from 2007!

2008: He popped the Q.

He proposed—but the deets remained secret. When asked years later at an event for Tiffany & Co. about her most special piece of jewelry, Gal said: “The most meaningful [jewelry moment] to me is the first time I wore my wedding ring,” she said, adding that Yaron proposed in a “very special way…but I’m going to keep that story to myself,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

September 28, 2008: They tied the knot.

Gal and Yaron got married in 2008. They’ll celebrate their 10-year wedding anniversary this year. And it’s clear the flame is still going strong, as they take any opportunity to celebrate each other!

2009: They racked up frequent flier miles.

After the fourth movie in the The Fast and the Furious franchise (Gal played Gisele), she said that the couple would often travel back and forth from Israel to the U.S. “We found ourselves staying in hotels all the time," Gal said, according to Bustle. "I think that Yaron and I make a really good team. I understand his career and he understands mine. We help each other progress in all areas of life. We're both very career driven."

2011: Their family grew.

Gal gave birth to baby girl Alma. And when she expressed hesitation about moving around a lot for work, Yaron gave her the best pep talk: “It was my husband who told me: "Gal, think about what kind of a role model you want to be. If you want to show Alma that she can follow her dreams, that's what you should do, and we will figure out the logistics,” she told Glamour.

April 14, 2016: They celebrated a decade of love.

If they weren’t so cute, we might hate them. But how can you not love sweet public declarations like Gal's? “10 years have gone by, yet it feels like yesterday we first met…My heart will forever beat to the sound of our love ❤ Gal Gadot Varsano.”

November 6, 2016: They announced baby #2.

The couple prepared to welcome a fourth member to their family! They posted an ultra-cute Insta cradling her stomach and making a shape of a heart. Awwww. All the feels.

March 2017: They anxiously awaited their new addition.

The duo struck a pose just before baby #2 arrived. Gal's pregnant bump was displayed in all its glory.

March 2017: Maya arrived.

The couple, along with Alma, who was 5 years old at the time, announced the birth of their second baby—a girl named Maya. “And then there were four…” Gal captioned an Instagram photo. “I feel so complete blessed and thankful for all the Wonders in my life.” (See what she did there?)

June 2017: Gal and Yaron proved their super-parent status.

Gal related to moms everywhere when she shared she was dealing with sleepless nights thanks to a colicky infant. The most telling message? “taken by my other sleepy half @jaronvarsano,” she ‘Grams. The couple that gets up to tackle middle-of-the-night baby cry fests together stays together…

March 2018: Yaron showed his support.

You can’t be married to Wonder Woman and not be a feminist, right? On International Women’s Day, Yaron posted this: “I’m so lucky to be married to a strong independent woman. She is my partner my friend my lover,” adding that their relationship is all about being equals, having respect for each other, and supporting one another’s dreams. (YAS!)

June 23, 2018: They celebrated Yaron's 43rd birthday.

Not one to shy away from Public Displays of Instagram Affection, Gal posted a love letter to Yaron on his birthday: “I’m so grateful to have such an incredible partner in this journey of life. You’re our rock, our compass, my superman.”

December 25, 2020: Yaron and their daughters made a Wonder Woman: 1984 cameo.

Yaron, Alma, and Maya all make a cameo in the movie’s Christmas scene—something that Gal later said was really important to her. "It meant a lot and especially in that very special scene," she told GoodDay DC's Kevin McCarthy of her family appearing in the sequel.

"I have two daughters, both of them appeared," she explained. Alma appeared with director Patty Jenkins' son Asa and Maya—whom Gal was pregnant with during reshoots for the first Wonder Woman—was in the movie alongside Yaron.

"To have them captured in the film with me, because they are a part of it, meant a lot," the actress added. "It's an amazing, amazing souvenir that we will forever cherish."

February 2020: They’ve been big on family time lately.

These days, Gal’s Instagram posts have largely centered around her family. She posted a sweet Instagram about "two families coming together—ours and the ducklings" while sharing cute photos of herself cuddling with Yaron and their family feeding ducks by a pond.

And she also shared a snap of the whole family reading Natalie Portman’s Fables together. Awww!

February 14, 2020: The couple celebrates Valentine's Day.

Gal shared a throwback photo of herself and Yaron on V-Day, calling him her "forever Valentine since 2006."
