Gabrielle Union and Larry Sims Are Relaunching Flawless by Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union is known for her beauty, outspokenness, and basically carrying teen movies in the '90s. In her career that spans over 30 years, she has starred in countless films and TV shows (including Being Mary Jane, where she played the title character), graced magazine covers, and started her own beauty business. In 2017, the actor launched the hair-care line Flawless by Gabrielle Union. Now, three years later, the brand is relaunching with a whole new collection. 

Union shared the good news with her Instagram fans on July 12. Developed in collaboration with hairstylist Larry Sims, the collection features 12 products with hydrating and protein-rich ingredients for afro-textured hair. In a statement from the brand, Union shared, "We were dedicated to developing the perfect blend of high-quality, affordable products for all types of textured hair to promote flawless beauty through choice and diversity." 

Sims added, "From curls, waves, and coils, to heat styles, braids, wigs, and weaves, there is a Flawless product to support your hair’s needs for brilliance, health, and beauty." 

The 12 products will take you through your entire routine — from cleansing to styling — and retail in the affordable price range of $4 to $10.

The Hydrating Detangling Shampoo and 3 Minute Restoring Conditioner both use the ingredient Brazilian bacuri butter, which is great for moisturizing dry hair, alongside a collection of oils — açai palm, olive, and castor seed — to gently cleanse and nourish hair. The brand also offers a co-wash and deep conditioner, so you can mix and match your routine.

As for styling products, there are seven different options to choose from. Similar to the shampoo and conditioner, the Detangling Leave-In Conditioner is formulated with the Brazilian bacuri butter alongside staple ingredients coconut oil and shea butter to hydrate and soften hair once you're out of the shower.

If you suffer from a dry and itchy scalp, the Scalp Soothing Tonic is made for you. With aloe vera extract, rice oil complex, and peppermint oil, its ingredients will make your scalp feel renewed and refreshed. There is also a curl cream, oil treatment, and refresher spray.

Lovers of heat tools, Union and Sims did not forget about you. The Shine Enhancing Heat Protection Spray uses a powerful combination of rice oil complex, lilac leaf extract, passionfruit seed oil, and açai palm oil to shield hair from heat and add an extra sheen.

The Smoothing Blow Dry Cream offers that same heat protection, as well as frizz-fighting abilities and shine, thanks to the Brazilian bacuri butter, lilac leaf extract, and rice oil complex.
