A 'Full House' Reunion Is Happening in Candace Cameron Bure's Upcoming Christmas Movie

Oh Mylanta!

DJ Tanner and Kimmy Gibbler are getting the band back together this Christmas. Well, kind of.

Candace Cameron Bure and Andrea Barber are due to reunite on set of Candace Cameron Bure Presents: Christmas on Candy Cane Lane, Deadline reports.

It was just a couple of days ago that Bure formally announced her first project since jumping ship at Hallmark and signing on with Great American Family Network in its place, but the second project with her new home is already picking up steam.

Bure will act as executive producer on the project and could not be more excited about the casting as Barber is set to star alongside Virgin River's Dan Payne,

"It sure is a GREAT American Christmas 😍- feeling overjoyed to collaborate and bring on one of my best friends, @andreabarber for this Christmas season!" Bure wrote in an Instagram post sharing the news.

"I’m learning from the best! 😊👸🏼🎄❤️💚," Barber replied in the comments.

“It brings me great joy to bring you the incredibly talented and funny Andrea Barber. Having a 30-year bestie friendship both on and off camera has allowed me to find the perfect project to introduce the Christmas genre audience to her brilliant comedic skills, her heartwarming authenticity and vulnerability that is a rare gem today. Just as I have, audiences will fall in love with Andrea’s warmth and relatability, and chuckle along with her all the way down Candy Cane Lane,” Deadline also quoted Bure.

While the film won't be the first to come out of Bure's partnership with Great American Family Network, it is the first produced under the banner of "Candace Cameron Bure Presents," and will also premiere during Great American Christmas, the network's holiday programming lineup that returns on Oct. 21.

Based on the book by Sheila Roberts, Barber stars as Ivy Donaldson, who has recently separated from her husband (played by Payne) and is putting on a brave face for her family. She also feels trapped in the shadow of her mother, who was essentially a Christmas celebrity, but it wouldn't be a traditional Christmas film if she didn't find a way to overcome her obstacles and find love!
