A 'Frozen' Roller Coaster Is Coming to This Disney Park

You may soon be singing “Let It Go” to your frequent flyer miles.

New details about Hong Kong Disneyland’s Frozen land were revealed at D23 Expo over the weekend, and with two attractions, beloved characters and a functioning village, it’s about as close as you’ll ever get to actually entering Arendelle.

Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs will offer a “one of a kind” coaster through the kingdom ruled by Queen Elsa in 2013’s "Frozen." With what seems to be a modernized bobsled reminiscent of Disneyland’s Matterhorn, Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs promise a winding, whimsical journey with lovable snowman Olaf and reindeer Sven at the helm, pulling your sled to the top of a hill for a raucous good time.

It’s not the only attraction at Disney’s first-ever complete "Frozen"-themed land. Hong Kong Disneyland will also open Frozen Ever After, a boat ride that first appeared in Epcot’s Norway pavilion, and a traditional Nordic village with souvenir shops and a Frozen-themed candy store for sweet treats.

Hong Kong Disneyland is undergoing a period of unprecedented change, with many new experiences landing at the park over the next few years. Hong Kong Disneyland’s new castle, named the Castle of Magical Dreams, will pay homage to princess like Snow White and Cinderella within its architecture and turrets, while its Marvel-themed land will be “connected” to the Avengers Campus lands at Disneyland Paris and California’s Disneyland Park for further immersion.

Even with plenty of "Frozen" happenings at Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts, this charming new winter-inspired land will definitely be worth jetting overseas for.
