You Can Have A Front Row Seat To Savage X Fenty’s NYFW Show

Move over Victoria’s Secret, because Rihanna is claiming her territory for Savage X Fenty. Fans want an album, but she’s too busy becoming a game changer in every industry she touches, one being lingerie. Last year the mogul put on her first Savage X Fenty runway show and it was nothing short of legendary. From the star-studded runway featuring models like Gigi Hadid and then-pregnant Slick Woods to the most inclusive casting NYFW has ever seen. This season she’s not being stingy; Rihanna wants everyone to experience the magic of the show and she’s doing so with the help of Amazon Prime video. In a press release, she said “I couldn’t be more excited that everyone will have full access to the Savage X Fenty Show this year! We are working on creating a bold, sexy, super energetic experience for our viewers.”

We’re just as excited as Ri, but the news gets even better. In addition to streaming the show, Amazon Prime Video will be showing exclusive behind the scenes clips featuring the making of the show. We can’t help but to wonder if Rihanna will be anything like Beyoncé was backstage in her Homecoming netflix special. Our guess is she’s equally about her business.

Beyond that, the show will feature the brand’s Fall/ Winter 2019 collection. If it’s anything like past collections, we can expect to see lots of prints, lace, and sexy pieces made for all women who are redefining what sexy can be. On their Instagram, the brand said, “This time, we going even bigger and badder.” If a bigger and badder exists from what last season was, then we would like to see it. Not only will we get to see the hot new threads hit the runway, but the evening will also include surprise music performances. We know Rihanna knows how to party, so we can only imagine what she has up her sleeves for what’s already sounding like a historic night. “The new era of runway shoooows is hereeee 😍💥🔥🔥🔥 Victoria Secret WHO?? Diversity, Power and Realness 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾,” one commenter said under Rihanna’s Instagram announcement.

While the experience will take place during New York Fashion Week, it won’t air on Amazon Prime until Friday, September 20.
