‘Fox & Friends’ Asks Men to Decide Whether Leggings Are Appropriate Womenswear

You may recall a video that went viral last week, of a Tennessee woman ranting about her disdain for what she considers to be too-sheer leggings.

In response, the good folks at Fox & Friends decided to bring in a panel to dissect the situation further.

Comprised entirely of presumably heterosexual fathers—Fox’s legal analyst Arthur Aidala, Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson, and Andrew Sansone, the husband of Fox’s Julie Banderas—the panel is asked whether its members find it acceptable for the ladies in their lives to “parading in public” while wearing leggings. Because, you know, it isn’t enough to walk down the street and hear what cat callers think of what you look like. Now, we need to know the headband-wearing guy from Duck Dynasty’s opinion, too!

“They ain’t pants,” proclaims Robertson. “You know, but my girls, they wear, like, the longer shirts to cover up the lady parts. You know. It’s a combination. But yeah, I think—yeah, I’m okay with it.”

The most vocal of the bunch is Aidala, who explains that, ““We basically have a rule in the Aidala household overall […]—if it’s not worn in the monastery, it’s not worn out on the street.”

Throughout the nearly six minute-long segment, host Steve Doocy introduces the men to three women wearing various outfits with leggings. The foursome then discuss and cackle over the women’s clothing and figures. To a woman wearing purple leggings and a black tank top, Aidala says, “Obviously her physique, god bless you, you’ve worked out, you’ve earned that. And there are appropriate places to wear that. But I wouldn’t wear that to church on Sunday.”

In Sansone’s defense, he does seem a bit uncomfortable with the whole situation, only offering up that his daughters are still in diapers, and “she looks great, going to the gym. At the mall?”

“Come on,” prods Aidala. “Step up. Step up. This is your daughter out there, son.”

Says Sansone, “Uhh… do I have a lifeline?”

Sorry, Mr. Sansone, but if you continue contributing to the chauvinistic, anti-female bulls**t that is Fox & Friends… I’m afraid you do not.
