Halloween is the perfect excuse to dress in your wildest ‘fit that would probably guarantee you some strange stares any other time of the year. But while Halloween is an all-inclusive holiday, Halloween costumes haven’t always been.
If you’re plus-sized, it can be exhausting searching for a costume that fits well and makes you feel good. “Over the years, I have found it pretty challenging to find costumes as the options are very limited,” says Jazmina Daniel, a plus-size influencer and cosplayer based in Los Angeles.
Georgette Niles, a plus-size fashion influencer based in Philadelphia, adds that for years she had to dress up as a cat or nerd “because I couldn’t find costumes to fit my size 20/22 frame.”
