Cris Cyborg, the former UFC women’s featherweight champion who was released from the promotion a few days after defeating Felicia Spencer at UFC 240 in July, has signed a multi-fight deal with Bellator.

According to Bellator president Scott Coker, the deal is the “biggest contract in women’s MMA history.”

It will be Cyborg’s second time fighting for Coker, as the pair worked together when Coker ran Strikeforce and she was its featherweight champion.

She’s one of the greatest fighters in the history of the women’s game, but was stunningly knocked out in 51 seconds and lost her title to Amanda Nunes at UFC 232 in December.

That was her first loss since her pro debut, a time spanning more than 13 years in which she went 20-0 with a no-contest.

Her victory over Spencer raised her record to 21-2 with that no-contest, which first was a victory over Hiroko Yamanaka and which was later changed when she failed her post-fight drug test.

Among the elite opponents she’s defeated are Holly Holm, Gina Carano, Tonya Evinger, Marloes Coenen and Shayna Baszler.
