Former actress Jazreel Low has come a long way since coming in third at the Star Search awards in 1988, the year Zoe Tay was crowned champion while Aileen Tan clinched the first runner-up title. Today, Low is the owner of a variety of businesses, including her latest F&B dining concept, ToriYard.

Having situated Aramsa Spa and Canopy Garden Dining restaurant at the heart of Bishan Park, it’s no surprise to see her latest business venture located at the same place. Low is also a co-owner of online beauty store Beauty A-List.

According to a media release on Tuesday (27 Feb), the 120-seater eatery allows diners to enjoy its range of Japanese chicken skewers, known as yakitori, in front of an open concept grilling station. Beef, pork and seafood are also offered.

The kitchen is helmed by Tokyo native Hasegawa Isao, who also serves other dishes such as rice bowl dishes or Donburi, and set meals known as Teishoku. The chef of 40 years will be serving these for dinner.

Other notable offerings include an Onsen Tamago Cocktail, which consists of an onsen egg, foie gras, salmon roe and uni.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. It is closed on Tuesdays.
