By now, you've must have heard of Netflix's hit drama series Squid Game. It's one of the most streamed shows on the platform of ALL TIME and has been No. 1 on the trending bar for weeks.
One reason why it's so great that a show like this is all anyone can talk about is because it's in Korean! I love that a non-English show is everyone's current obsession.
It makes me wonder how many other foreign language shows have slipped through the cracks...
Like Elite — a Spanish teen drama that somehow is better than Riverdale, Gossip Girl, AND Pretty Little Liars...combined!
Plot summary: "When three working-class teens enroll in an exclusive private school in Spain, the clash between them and the wealthy students leads to murder."
Or Alice in Borderland — a Japanese sci-fi thriller that left me on the edge of my seat.
Or Mismatched — a Hindi romance that made me believe in a thing called love.
Plot summary: "After a disastrous setup by their families, two teens strike up a tentative friendship at their summer program — but deeper feelings aren't far behind."
