Folsom is getting a new Illinois-based bagel place. Here’s where it expects to open
Big Apple Bagels in El Dorado Hills plans on opening a Folsom location later this year.
Scott Walters, owner of the Sacramento franchise, said the newest spot will open in Folsom’s Commonwealth Square on East Bidwell Street next to Folsom Lock and Security.
“Big Apple Bagels is made-from-scratch bagels,” he said. “So, everything in the store that we provide, we either make it on site, or we prepare it on site. Everything is done. They have no day-old anything.”
The Folsom store will likely open with the same hours as its future sister location, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily, according to Walters.
Customers can expect breakfast and lunch sandwiches, muffins, coffee and juices for average prices from $6 to $10.
Walters said the El Dorado location opened in June 2015 and is an extension of a larger franchise headquartered in Illinois. Most of the company’s locations are in the Midwest.
