Florida's Keyontae Johnson still in critical but stable condition 1 day after on-court collapse

Keyontae Johnson, a forward for the Florida Gators, remains in critical but stable condition at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, one day after he collapsed on the basketball court during a game against FSU.

Florida athletic director Scott Stricklin gave an update on Johnson on Sunday morning.

Stricklin did not give any details on how long Johnson might be at the hospital or what his diagnosis is.

In addition to Johnson’s parents, coach Mike White and associate assistant director for sports health Dave Werner are with Johnson at the hospital.

Johnson, the SEC preseason player of the year, collapsed only a few minutes into Saturday’s game against FSU, after an alley-oop and a media timeout. He was stretchered off the court and immediately taken to Tallahassee Memorial.
