Florida State's blowout of Southern Miss made fans want to dance
The Independence Bowl was a bore unless you were a Florida State fan. The Seminoles were the far superior team to Southern Miss on Thursday and blew out the Golden Eagles 42-13.
The win made Florida State 7-6 and ensured the program finished with a winning season once again. After the struggles of 2017, where Florida State had to reschedule a canceled game against Louisiana-Monroe just to get bowl eligible, it’s understandable why FSU fans wanted to soak up every second of Thursday’s rout.
And boy, did they do that. This woman was having some fun.
But her dancing was nothing compared to this man’s. ESPN only televised 25 seconds of his masterclass. He could still be dancing for all we know.

Florida State quarterback James Blackman threw a career-high four touchdown passes, also an Independence Bowl record. Three of those touchdowns went to wide receiver Auden Tate, who had five catches for 84 yards. Blackman finished 18-26 passing for 233 yards.
It was the final game for Florida State under interim coach Odell Haggins, who took over after Jimbo Fisher departed for Texas A&M and a $75 million contract. Haggins was the team’s coach for the ULM game on Dec. 2.
He’ll stay on new Florida State coach Willie Taggart’s staff too. Haggins will coach the defensive line under the former Oregon coach, who came to Tallahassee after one season coaching the Ducks.
Southern Miss finishes the season 8-5.
