Florida State offensive lineman Josh Ball and the woman accusing him of abuse reached a resolution regarding her request for a protection order.

The resolution came at a hearing regarding Sandra Sellers’ request Thursday. She said in her petition that Ball was a violent person and she was afraid that he would take it too far. The petition detailed multiple incidents where she said Ball had struck her. Ball has not been charged with any crimes and Thursday’s hearing was a civil matter.

From the Orlando Sentinel:

Ball agreed to waive his right for a final hearing on the matter, agreeing to the final judgment of injunction without admitting or denying the allegations.

Ball is court ordered to stay at least 500 feet from Sellers’ Tallahassee residence, her parents’ residence, her Tallahassee church, her job, and Tallahassee Community College.

Ball must also stay at least 100 feet from the FSU College of Nursing building, the Diffenbaugh building and The Strip Entertainment Group — a popular bar scene for students near campus.

The petition had detailed 11 incidents with Ball dating back to July 2016. In the first incident, Sellers said Ball damaged his apartment because he was upset at a roommate and then tried to harm himself. She claimed the situation was resolved when unnamed members of the Florida State staff intervened.

Ball is Florida State’s starting left tackle. The team said earlier this week that his status with the team had not changed. Part of the terms of the resolution include the provision that neither party comment publicly.
