Lifetime's on-screen adaptation of Prince Harry and [Meghan Markle]'s(https://www.allure.com/story/meghan-markle-disguises-london) romance (fittingly titled Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance) began filming last week, and now we have our first look at our movie royals in costume. While there's still no word on why Lifetime missed its chance to call the film When Harry Met Meghan, reported by The Cut, paparazzi pics of the actors on set surfaced Wednesday, giving Heghan (or is it simply "Marry"?) fans detailed close-ups of the pair's cinematic counterparts.
As it turns out, the casting was spot on. While neither star is identical to the real thing, both actors could probably fool an onlooker or two on the street, especially if they were together. Markle's on-screen counterpart, Parisa Fitz-Henley, was photographed wearing a red dress that The Cut identified as looking remarkably similar to one worn by Markle on Today in 2016, where she appeared to discuss season six of Suits. Prince Harry's own lookalike, Murray Fraser, was photographed separately in a tie-less suit. Both had thrown thick winter wear over their costumes, which makes a lot of sense considering they're filming in Vancouver.
It appears as though the photos (which can be viewed on Just Jared) were shot in-between takes, so it's unclear what scene the glammed up outfits were for. The actors were also photographed separately, so the red dress Markle's character is wearing and the suit spotted on Prince Harry's character could very well be for completely different scenes. Still, any glimpse of the fictionalized royals is better than none at all, and these pics definitely have us hyped for the movie.
As if these two doppelgangers weren't enough, Fitz-Henley also posted a behind-the-scenes pic of Bonnie Soper, the actress playing Princess Diana. "Oh hello, Diana," she wrote in the caption, adding, "(this casting is bugging me OUT)." We could not agree more.
