Here’s Your First Look at the Second Season of Hulu’s “Shrill”

It returns in January.

More Shrill is officially in our future. The hit Hulu series, starring Aidy Bryant, made waves with its debut, as many celebrated its messages of body positivity. And as Aidy revealed today on Instagram, another season is headed to our way soon.

On Monday, the comedian shared the first images of season two. "A lil first look," she wrote. "All 8 episodes are coming JANUARY 24!!! I cannot wait for you to see!!!" The accompanying images showed Aidy's character Annie preparing for a possible evening of roller skating, enjoying an evening out with friends, and standing over a desk with some important looking papers. Naturally, she looks completely fashionable in each frame, and is captured wearing a fun yellow top and some colorful office wear.

In addition to the sneak peek of the new season, Hulu also shared a synopsis. "This season Annie is no longer the doormat she once was, but it’s not as easy as she thought to get what she always imagined she wanted," the description reads. "When it comes to relationships, Annie thought she wanted Ryan’s commitment and love, but that may have been a hasty move as well. It’s nice to have someone, but is Ryan really the right match for her? She’s career-focused and ambitious and he’s… not. Meanwhile, Fran is dealing with a break-up and figuring out what she really wants out of her life, too."

It certainly sounds like things will get interesting this season, and luckily we only have to wait until January 24 to see what happens next.
