Everyone loves a good thriller. Especially one with a cracking cast and clever plot. Which makes Jenna Ortega's latest project — Finestkind — all the more exciting (FYI, it has both). From the cast to the plot, here's everything you need to know about Finestkind.

What is Finestkind about?

The thriller follows a pair of estranged brothers who are pulled into a deal with an organised crime syndicate, which, inevitably, leads to trouble. As a result, things get increasingly dangerous for the brothers, their father and a mystery young woman.

The official synopsis reads, "Two brothers from opposite sides of the tracks are reunited as adults. Desperate circumstances force them into a deal with an organised crime syndicate in Boston, and a young women gets caught in the middle."

Who is in the cast of Finestkind?

As far as casts go, Finestkind has quite the line-up, including the likes of Tommy Lee Jones, Jenna Ortega, Ben Foster and Toby Wallace. Other stars include Tim Daly, Clayne Crawford, Aaron Stanford, Scotty Tovar, Lolita Davidovich, Meghan Leather, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Fernanda Andrade, Charlie Thurston, Jackie Sandler, Rebecca Gibel, and Kevin Craig West.

Believe it or not, the film was originally supposed to cast Jake Gyllenhaal, Ansel Elgort, and even Zendaya (ikr), but they've all departed the project.

When is Finestkind's release date?

Currently, there is no official release date for Finestkind. But it has been confirmed that the film will premiere at Toronto's International Film Festival some time in September. We also know that it's set to debut on Paramount+ later this year.

Is there a trailer for Finestkind?

Unfortunately... no. There isn't a trailer for Finestkind as of yet, but once we do get our hands on one, you guys will be the first to know. For now, Toronto International Film Festivla did share a teaser of the cast in action in a first-look photo, alongside the caption, "JENNA ORTEGA. The World Premiere of Brian Helgeland’s FINESTKIND stars Ben Foster, Toby Wallace, Tommy Lee Jones, and Ortega as a team who tread dangerous waters after their debts start piling up, in this new crime drama. #TIFF23"
