After three seasons, NBC canceled its supernatural drama Manifest in June, centered around a full plane of people who land and realize five years have passed since that plane took off. Adjusting back into their lives is hard, but only gets more difficult when former passengers begin to see visions of future events.

Despite its cancellation, fans are still hopeful for another season. After the show debuted on Netflix in June, it quickly flew to the top of the streamer's chart, where it resided for weeks (it's still firmly in the top 10 now). Creator Jeff Rake has been vocal on Twitter about his desire to finish the show’s storyline, and recent news suggests both he and the fans might get their wish.

Will There Be a Manifest Season 4?

As of now, there’s no official word on a Season 4. But, there’s probably some conversations behind closed doors going on. According to Entertainment Weekly, Rake is attempting to get a movie deal to complete the show instead of another season. He told the publication that seeing the show’s popularity on Netflix was “gratifying.” Rake says he planned a six-season arc for the series, but now that the show is in limbo, he’s trying another approach.

“I'm reading the writing on the wall that we may not find a home for three more seasons of the show, so I moved to plan B: Some platform would bankroll a feature or a movie finale, like we saw with Timeless, Firefly, and Deadwood,” Rake says. “I just need a modest budget to tell the story.”

And here's where things get interesting.

Almost a month after his interview, Deadline is reporting NBC, Warner Bros. Television and Netflix are in discussions about a possible revival of the show. Rake tweeted about the exciting prospect, thanking his fans for all their support.

Fingers crossed, Manifesters.
