It’s Finally Time To Meet The Cast Of 'Love Island' USA
While you turn up the AC to combat the summer heat, a group of attractive singles will be taking to the beaches of Fiji to generate some summer heat of their own. Yep, Love Island, the hit UK reality dating competition show, is getting Americanized—and, just like your grill on the 4th of July, it’s bound to be hot, hot, hot.
The tl;dr: On day one, the Love Island USA cast moves into a luxurious villa in Fiji and starts pairing up. The goal: to stay coupled up until the end (even as new singles start crashing the villa to shake things up) in the name of love—and a cash prize. The reality TV love child of Bachelor in Paradise and Big Brother, the new show is expected to be a deliciously dramatic mess of awww-worthy romance mixed with secrets, love triangles, cheeky challenges, and juicy hookups. I can already feel the (sexual) tension brewing.
Hosted by comedian and actress Arielle Vandenberg, Love Island premieres Tuesday, July 9 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will air five nights a week (yup, it's that good).
