Nike’s Air Jordans will finally be available for the disability community with the introduction of the Air Jordan I FlyEase. You can grab a pair starting Nov. 1.
On Friday, Nike announced a new Air Jordan I collection in time for the holidays, the Fearless Ones collection. The centerpiece sneaker in the collection is a brand new Air Jordan I FlyEase, which incorporates Nike’s adaptive technology into the popular kicks.
The FlyEase line was launched in 2015 with the Zoom Soldier 8. Nike has continued expanding the collection since then. Made to be easy for people with disabilities to take on and off, FlyEase designs include a one-handed heel entry and exit, combination zipper and strap, and an adjustable hook and loop for top entry. Meanwhile, Air Jordan I FlyEase feature the iconic design, colors and materials people love.
FlyEase Air Jordans will be available starting Nov. 1, according to an announcement from Nike. This follows a September announcement of the Nike Air Zoom UNVRS shoe, which includes FlyEase technology and was endorsed by women’s basketball star Elena Delle Donne.
“I wanted to show that a professional athlete can wear it,” Delle Donne said. “Male, female, adult, people with disabilities — this shoe is going to work.”
