After stealing the show on the red carpet at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, Kelleth Cuthbert is headed to daytime TV.
Nicknamed the Fiji Water Girl after her strategic placement on the red carpet carrying a tray of bottled Fiji water, Cuthbert has been working on the soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Her appearance will air Feb. 6, Fox News reports. In a post on her Instagram page, Cuthbert posted a photo of herself dressed in black alongside four of the show’s stars.
“Thank you to the lovely folks of @boldandbeautifulcbs for having me yesterday!” she wrote.
Cuthbert took the internet by storm when she sneaked into the red carpet photos of some of Hollywood’s biggest celebs, ranging from Nicole Kidman and Timothée Chalamet to Amy Adams and Jamie Lee Curtis. Dressed in a stunning blue dress, Cuthbert, a Los Angeles-based model, quickly gained traction all over the internet.
Not everyone was thrilled with the public relations stunt, however: Curtis says she wasn’t asked permission to appear in a promotional stunt.
“I specifically moved away from the blatant promotions by Fiji and Moët where young women with their trays filled with their wares stood near a designated camera,” she wrote on Instagram. “I knew why there was a photographer poised there and I moved away as I said out loud that I didn’t want to be doing advertising for either.”
She added that event organizers should reach out to talent before using their photos to sell products. “The sponsors of events need to get permission from people when they get them to take their picture next to products,” she wrote.
Clearly, Cuthbert’s role served Fiji Water well. She helped the company earn over $12 million in ad impressions at the Golden Globes.
