My favorite thing about fall is enveloping my home with all the warm layers it'll need for the cool months ahead. And it makes sense that hygge decorating, which is all about creating comfort, continues to be popular, especially this time of year. This fall and winter are all about staying comfy at home, says Better Homes & Gardens style director Max Wilker.
"With COVID-19 still going up and down in waves, people want to stay in and spend time with their core family at home and just enjoy being together," he says. "Hygge is huge right now because people want to be comfortable inside. We're seeing a trend in deep seating furniture or extra wide furniture so you can just curl up on the sofa, light a couple of candles, and wrap yourself in some comfy throws."
