There's a popular set of tea towels online that voice every home cook's dream: "Alexa, clean the kitchen." If only! Well, for Delta’s latest product, the appliance giant is working to make that dream a reality. This summer, Delta is launching VoiceIQ Technology—a new way to streamline kitchen to-do's, making cooking and cleanup a breeze.
Available on any Delta faucet with Touch2O Technology, you can instruct your sink to perform specific tasks using your voice. From preheating water for you to pouring out the exact amount of water you need—eliminating the need for measuring cups—VoiceIQ Technology changes the process of getting dinner on the table.
It all comes to life with Amazon’s Alexa or Google Assistant-enabled devices that sync up with Delta’s faucets. But it isn’t only limited to cooking—while getting ready in the morning, you can rely on this new technology to help prepare your morning joe, just by saying, “Alexa, ask Delta to fill up the coffee pot.” Or if you’re a busy parent trying to get the kids out of the door and you remember that the dog needs water, Delta VoiceIQ technology can also help with that too via an app. (And yes, you can customize the settings, so it fills exactly the amount of water for your dog's bowl.)
If you’re a fan of Delta appliances and already have one of their sinks, you can join in on the VoiceIQ Technology without needing to purchase an entirely new sink. The easily-installed add-on is available to buy on Amazon, and with a 4-star review, nearly 800 customers are in love with the unique features, including TLC star and designer Jeremiah Brent.
“You can actually command things to your faucet, if you want a cup of water or anything—and it’s exact measurements: cups, ounces, you name it,” he said. “You can fill a vase, which, for me in my home, that’s many. ... I joke that the faucet is the only thing that listens to me anymore.”
