All About the 'Fate: The Winx Saga' Cast and How Old They *Really* Are

It's clear to anyone who watched Winx Club on Nickelodeon that Fate: The Winx Saga is more grown-up than the original animated version. I mean, these fairies legit play beer pong! They vape! TL;DR: They do pretty much everything that you secretly suspect characters at other fictional magical schools are doing in their spare time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

Interestingly enough, while the cast members of Fate: The Winx Saga are meant to to be playing teenagers on the show, the majority of the actors playing first and second years at a school for fairies and wizards are actually in their early to mid 20s, which fair! I mean, it's called acting after all lol.

And you may even recognize some of the adults! Headmaster Silva is played by Robert James-Collier, aka the devious Thomas Barrow from Downton Abbey; Dowling is played by Eve Best aka Dr. O'Hara from Nurse Jackie; and Queen Luna is played by Kate Fleetwood aka Nancy from Harlots. But as for the students of Althea and the IRL people who play them? Here's a full roster:

Abigail Cowen as Bloom

Age in the show: 16
Age IRL: 24

You def may have last seen her playing Dorcas the teenage witch on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, but Abigail's got some serious ~range~ and was also cast as Eliza on The Fosters and Vicky Carmichael on Stranger Things. It's only recently that she's gotten, like, super into all things magic.

Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella

Age in the show: 17
Age IRL: 27

As a child, she was on the British series The Fugitives about kids on the run from the law and the Frankenstein mini-series that co-starred Dan Stephens.

Precious Mustapha as Aisha in Fate

Age in the show: 16
Age IRL: 25

Precious has appeared in the pilot of another Netflix show called The Stranger and plays a character called Roxy Millikan (cool name) in the new season of the ITV series Code 404.

Eliot Salt as Terra

Age in the show: 16
Age IRL: 28

If it's jarring to see Eliot in fairy high school on Fate: The Winx Saga, that's likely because you just saw her playing Marianne's university friend Joanna on Normal People.

Elisha Applebaum as Musa

Age in the show: 16

The actor has appeared in some shorts and indie films besides Winx Saga. She also co-hosts a podcast!

Sadie Soverall as Beatrix

The youngest member of the Fate: The Winx Saga cast is having her breakout moment in the Netflix series, though she previously appeared in the Irish film Rose Plays Julie.

Danny Griffin as Sky

You may have recently seen Danny playing a young Russian named Aslan in Guy Ritchie's The Gentleman or at another fictional prep school in Get Even.

Freddie Thorp as Riven

Freddie played a 19-year-old on Netflix's Safe and has traveled back in time to take on the role of fan-favorite Winx boy Riven.

Jacob Dudman as Sam Harvey

Jacob's def a familiar face, since he's been a Netflix teen before on The A-List, the spooky summer camp show, and on The Stranger.

Theo Graham as Dane

Age in the show: 16
Age IRL: 25

UK fans know Theo from the hugely successful soap operas Doctors and Hollyoaks. The latter, which the actor has appeared in over 100 episodes in, is also set in a school. So you could definitely say he's found himself back in hallowed halls on Fate: The Winx Saga.
