Fast and Furry-ous: Police Chase Raccoon Intruder Out of Tampa Home

Police in Florida had their work cut out for them when they chased a raccoon from a Tampa home on September 6.

Footage from the Tampa Police Department shows officers trying catch and release the furry intruder, which had been hiding in a closet.

According to a Facebook post by police, the homeowner called 911 for help when she heard strange noises coming from the closet, and a couple of officers were sent to check it out.

“After much effort, coordination and chasing the masked bandit around the home, the raccoon finally ran out. One officer was nipped in the hand, but is doing okay,” police said in the post. Credit: Tampa Police Department via Storyful
