Instagram is basically made for finding a bunch of cool new labels if you love to browse your explore page or constantly click on the outfit tags of your fave influencers (guilty). And Larroudé, a shoe brand that launched in December 2020, is one that showed up for me.

I was instantly struck by its playful prints and bold hues—the ’70s-looking retro platforms definitely caught my eye—and it turns out that the fashion and celeb set are big fans. Influencers like Melissa Wood and Jenny Walton have worn its styles, and other brands like Dannijo, Lingua Franca, and Chufy are always in the comments on each IG photo.

It was founded by designer Marina Larroudé, the former VP fashion director at Barneys and head of Schutz, who took her knowledge of style and footwear to create her own namesake label—even in the midst of the pandemic. You’ll find shoes with a sophisticated yet youthful twist in various silhouettes like sandals, lace-up heels, and even knee-length boots ranging from $150 to $450. So yes, they can be a lil on the expensive side, but if a statement-making accessory moment is what you’re looking for, they’re worth it.

Best of all is that they’re actually comfortable. Memory foam is featured in the styles and other pluses include breathable leather lining and a fit that also accommodates wider feet. Another bonus! The footwear is manufactured in Brazil and ensures that strict criteria is met when it comes to a safe working environment at the factory, fair wages, employee benefits, and more.

Revolve recently took notice of its burgeoning popularity, and Larroudé is now sold on the retailer’s site as well as its own. The Miso Platform Sandal is already a best seller! Marina says she has also sold out of the Gloria Sandal THREE times. Casual.

Now that I’ve introduced you to the up-and-coming brand, if you’re looking for a new spring and summer shoe, consider shopping any of the below. Better get ahead of the curve now before everyone starts wearing them. They’re all just too pretty!
