Manhattan and spring break are rarely found in the same sentence, but Salvatore Ferragamo made an exception last night for the launch of the brand’s exclusive collaboration with Laure Heriard Dubreuil, founder of The Webster. Hosted at Indochine, the buzzing pink neon lights, techno music, and palm-lined entrance were more than welcoming on the gloomy Thursday evening.

With Ruby Aldridge behind the jungle-themed DJ booth and tropical drinks flowing through the jam-packed crowd, it truly felt like spring break in Miami (birthplace of The Webster). Madeline Brewer, Pom Klementieff, Jamie Tisch, Joan Smalls, Johannes Huebl, Hilary Rhoda, and Antoni Porowski were in attendance and most were dressed in Ferragamo. From the coconut cocktails to the cabana booths festooned with fringed parasols, the event offered more than just a sneak peek at the collection: It was an escape.

The evening’s beach-party vibe complemented the Salvatore Ferragamo x The Webster capsule collection, which revamps a selection the brand’s Spring 2019 accessories with a South Beach flair. “In the collection that I showed on the runway, there was a lot of color, but for the shoes and accessories there was a lot of neutral shades,” Ferragamo’s creative director Paul Andrew explained. Those pieces are no longer lacking in color; in the capsule collection (available at The Webster’s Soho location starting today) is a red wicker bucket bag and gold block-heeled sandals that seem to say “Welcome to Miami.”

Following close behind the trays of beachy cocktails were Asian hors d’oeuvres to fuel the growing dance scene. Up until the late evening, partygoers enjoyed the downtown oasis. It felt like spring break forever, if just for the night.
