Fans Think Olivia Rodrigo's Song, "Drivers License," is About Joshua Bassett and Sabrina Carpenter
Olivia Rodrigo's debut single, "Drivers License", is finally here and fans are absolutely obsessed. But they're also realizing that the track might actually be about her rumored former-BF and current High School: The Musical: The Series co-star Joshua Basset.
If you don't already know, fans believed that Olivia and Rodrigo officially called it quits after she posted a TikTok featuring a song that she wrote for the series with the caption, "and that's on failed relationships."
And now fans are thinking her new track is about him moving on with Sabrina Carpenter, who he's been hanging out around a lot with lately.
Several fans pointed out that the song's original lyric featured "that brunette", but has been changed to "that blonde" due to the brand new possible relationship.
the original lyrics from drivers license was “that brunette girl” and it’s changed to blonde girl and now i’m finding out tea about sabrina carpenter??? i’m confused

Meanwhile, some other fans are just here for her calling out Joshua in the brand new track as it seems like they had a huge break up based on the song's lyrics.

Another fan revealed that there's a chance the song might not actually be about Joshua since he liked one of her posts about the track.
everyone saying olivia’s song is “exposing” joshua but they literally liked each other’s posts when they were promoting the songs. Seriously y’all don’t even know what’s going on their lives. Also josh wrote “lie lie lie” a long time ago. He posted a bit on is Instagram.

Joshua did like a photo of the song's cover art a few days before it was released.
Of course, it's a little tough to say if the song really is about them or not since neither of them have outright confirmed. But all this drama does make watching season two of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series a lot more interesting!
