We all love seeing celebs loved up and living life, right? And, thankfully, last night's Oscars celebrations delivered plenty of adorable couple moments, from Kourtney and Travis (yep, they were there) to Dominic Fike and Hunter Schafer (aka probably the coolest couple on the planet...at least if you ask us).
Another couple that we couldn't take our eyes off of? Kristen Stewart and her screenwriter fiancee Dylan Meyer. There has been loads of commentary on Kristen's IDGAF awards night look (possibly one of the most memorable Oscar red carpet looks) but what really took it the next level for her stans was the way she coordinated her look with Dylan. They both wore black suit jackets over unbuttoned white shirts and loose, beachy hair for a laid-back but lowkey matchy-matchy look. Naturally, we weren't the only ones to catch the outfit coordination, with LGBTQIA+ publication Autostraddle tweeting "this level of lesbian matching is honestly aspirational."
The moment that really ignited the internet – specifically queer and WLW Instagram – was the tender kiss that Kristen and Dylan shared. Captured on video by Variety , the clip shows the couple about to turn away from one another and go separate ways on the red carpet before Kristen reaches out to Dylan and appears to say "I love you" before the two share a quick, gentle kiss. Heartwarming stuff.
As you might imagine, fans haven't been able to get enough. On Twitter, the couple's Oscar debut has prompted comments praising their fashion ("The gays teaching us there are two ways to wear an unbuttoned shirt"), expressing happiness at their affectionate relationship ("the way dylan meyer looks at kristen stewart going to be living in my brain rent free they are so in love") and even commenting on what it signifies for LGBTQIA+ representation ("i cant stop thinking about how this would've been unspeakable not so long ago").
On Instagram, the dup were celebrated with a post by lesbian culture account @godimsuchadyke, captioned; "It’s Dylan and Kristen kissing on the red carpet in the second slide for me."
The comments on the post (which has been liked over 25,000 times) make it clear that the queer community is *here* for this celeb couple, with fans writing everything from "I’m loving watching them figure out their couple style together. Their coordinating fits just keep getting better and better!" to "I’d like to thank the academy for….. this couple’s existence."
