Fans Think Justin Bieber's Mom Doesn't Approve of His Engagement to Hailey Baldwin

And some fans think they have receipts.

Justin Bieber fans are speculating that his mom might not exactly be thrilled about his recent engagement to Hailey Baldwin, and the "proof" is apparently hidden on social media — according to some Beliebers, that is.

As several people have pointed out, Justin's mom, Pattie Mallette, used to have a line in her Twitter bio that read "Yes, Justin Bieber is my son." She seemed to have deleted it shortly after Justin and Hailey announced their engagement on social media, and fans have definitely noticed.

"It hurts me a lot that Pattie doesn't claim Justin anymore😣💔," one fan wrote. Another tweeted: "Justin is no longer in Pattie’s bio....what is going on?"

And that's not all. Some eagle-eyed fans also noticed that Pattie recently liked a tweet from former Bachelor contestant, Sean Lowe seemingly calling out "rushed" engagements. To be fair, Sean's tweet was about The Bachelorette, so Pattie could have liked it for a number of reasons that have nothing to do with her son. Nevertheless, plenty of fans ran with it.

"She's definitely so mad at Justin," one person theorized. "Umm sis is everything OK?" another fan asked.

While some fans are busy losing their minds over these newly-forming theories, others are chiming in to defend Pattie. "Pattie is a devoted Bachelor / Bachelorette watcher, pretty sure that's why she liked this tweet," one fan pointed out. Another wrote: "Not everything she likes is [referring] to Justin so can y’all chill out and stop analyzing every little thing?" And this fan clapped back at all the drama, tweeting: "Justin and Hailey have known each other for years. There was no shade. It's disgusting that you are all trying to force a fight between mother and son just because you disagree with J's engagement."

As for Pattie herself, she hasn't said anything about the speculations either way. However, she recently took to Twitter to say: "Dishonor and disrespect is just never cool. Come up higher," which some fans are interpreting as a response to the rumors. "Don't listen to them. YOU'RE AMAZING, THE BEST MOM EVER, LOVE YOU SO SO MUCH❤❤❤," one fan replied.

Of course, until Pattie comments on Justin and Hailey's engagement directly, we won't know how she feels. But until then, it's worth keeping in mind that sometimes a "like" doesn't have a bigger meaning, and people can change their Twitter bios without it indicating something major. This might be yet another instance when people are searching for drama where drama just doesn't exist.
