After two entertaining seasons of 9-1-1: Lone Star, in which the second season is set to wrap up on Monday, May 24, fans have been wondering if the show will be picked up for a third season. After all, at this point, viewers are invested in the storylines of Owen Strand (played by Rob Lowe), his son T.K. Strand (played by Ronen Rubinstein), Judd Ryder (played by Jim Parrack), and the rest of the cast.
In previous years, news of the first and second season came between April and May, so now that the end of the month is nearing, fans have been looking for good news surrounding their new favorite show on Fox.

Due to the pandemic, shooting schedules were largely thrown off, and the typical fall premiere lineup went off the rails, with 9-1-1: Lone Star debuting as a January show. Fans had to wait a little longer to hear whether the show would return, but on May 17, the answer was revealed: season 3 is a GO!

While season 3 is officially happening, it’s hard to know what to expect from the show when it comes to the nitty-gritty details. Considering the fact that Liv Tyler (who played Michelle Blake) was a cast member in the first season but not in the second, it’s very possible that the cast could change. Only time will tell!
