Though we’re anxiously counting down the seconds to the premiere of House of the Dragon (you know, the GoT prequel that comes out this August on HBO), it’s now been revealed that we might just be getting another spinoff. But this time, the narrative will focus on a character we’ve come to know and love from the original Game of Thrones series.

The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reported that the network is currently working on a sequel series that revolves around Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington. And the best news? The 35-year-old would come back to reprise his role should the project move forward, according to the report. This is now the seventh Game of Thrones project that’s been in development, with 10,000 Ships (aka Nymeria), 9 Voyages (aka The Sea Snake) and Dunk and Egg all in the works.

Viewers were first introduced to Snow in the first season, where he was a member of the Night’s Watch. As the show progressed, it was revealed that his true name was Aegon Targaryen, the potential heir to Iron Throne. Harington played the role for all eight seasons until the show came to an end in 2019.

The British actor went on to earn two Primetime Emmy nominations for his outstanding performance, as well as a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor in a Television Series Drama. After appearing in Game of Thrones, Harington went on to star as Dane Whitman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, Eternals.

Saying that we’re excited would be a major understatement.
