There were a lot of revelations from Billie Eilish's Apple TV+ documentary, Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry, but the biggest one may have been that Billie had a boyfriend at one point and no one knew. His name is Brandon Quention Adams and he's a rapper who goes by 7: AMP, though Billie seemed to refer to him as Q. Here's everything we know about the man who secretly stole Billie's heart.
1. He has spoken out about the documentary.
Following the release of Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry, many fans were upset with Brandon based off the way he comes off in the doc, and while their breakup was almost two years ago, it seems like many attacked Brandon online following the film's release.
It got so bad, that Brandon had to take to his Instagram Stories to address his relationship with Billie. He revealed that he was dealing with the death of his brother when he was dating the singer. "Especially around that time when it was fresh. Sometimes you have to be alone to cope," he said.
He continued, saying, "sometimes people disagree and don't want the same things as one another." He urged fans to recognize the "several point[s] of views to a situation."
"Anyone who know me knows where my heart is," he said. "I stay with a smile on my face even when I'm hurting. We push through the pain. [No love is ever lost] but I refuse to be bashed." He ended his statement saying, "There's always two sides to a situation."
Billie also spoke out, writing on her own Instagram Stories, "To the fansssss🥰 remember to be nice to people no matter what! I love you guys thank you for protecting me but be nice!!"
2. He's an LA rapper.
Just like Billie, Brandon is a musician that hails from Los Angeles.
3. He's older than Billie.
Brandon is 24, making him five years older than 19-year-old Billie.
4. He doesn't have social media.
Brandon has reportedly deleted his Instagram. According to Insider, he did this on Tuesday, possibly in preparation for the documentary's release.
5. They seemingly dated for less than a year.
Brandon first appears in the documentary around late 2018 and it seems like they broke up in June 2019. In the documentary, Billie is seen talking about the breakup backstage at a concert in NYC.
"I just wasn't happy," she said. "And I didn't want the same things he wanted and I don't think that's fair, for him. I don't think you should be in a relationship, super excited about certain things that the other person couldn't care less about."
She also explained that there was "a lack of effort" on his part. "I literally was just like, 'Dude, you don't even have enough love to love yourself, you can't love me. And you don't. Like, you think you do.'"
Still, Billie admitted that she loves him and she's not over him. "I didn't find someone else," she said. "I didn't stop having love for him. I just, like, spent time away from him for a little bit and I was like, 'Wow. I'm missing so much because I'm worried about you all the time.'"
At her performance that night, Billie started cyring while singing her song, "I love you."
6. They were in love.
As you can see from their breakup, Billie did love Brandon. And while they were dating, she could be seen proffesing her love for him multiple times.
7. Eventually, he got distant.
While things were good at first, Billie's busy schedule got in the way of her relationship and eventually, Brandon seemed to get distant. On Valentine's Day 2019, Billie said she felt "lonely" and "miserable" because she didn't get anything from Brandon. "And the night before, he'd been really weird and distant and sh*t," she said.
She explained that he was going on a trip with his friends. "I was just like, 'You know what, have fun, don't worry about me, I'm miserable, and I miss you, and I wish you would talk to me, and I have no one else to talk to,'" she said.
Later that year at Coachella, Billie faced a similar problem when Brandon didn't show up to a party she invited him to. "I said, 'I'm getting you tickets for this, and the deal is that you have to spend time with me," she explained. "You have to see me if I'm going to let you come for free. Haven't seen him in two and a half days."
Brandon did eventually stop by later and things seemed good between them. After her performance, however, Brandon was nowhere to be seen. They talked on the phone and she asked him, "Can you come here." He seemed to say he'll "try" and then hung up, causing Billie to throw her phone.
8. He never made her feel "desired."
In an interview with British GQ last year, Billie said none of her past boyfriends ever made her feel desired. "None of them," she said. "And it’s a big thing in my life that I feel I have never been physically desired by somebody."
At the time, she also admitted that she has had her heart broken. "People have done some terrible sh*t to me," she said. "The crazy sh*t I have gone through. I have never felt powerful in a relationship. I did once and, guess what, I took advantage of that person’s kindness. I wasn’t used to it."
We can now assume she was talking about Brandon.
9. Fans knew they were friends.
While they were dating, Billie's fans knew she and Brandon were friends and there were some romance rumors. In 2019, Billie was even featured on the cover of Brandon's debut album, Bleupro.
Brandon also posted photos with Billie on Instagram from time to time.
10. They seem to be on good terms.
Despite their rough breakup, it seems like Brandon and Billie may still be friends. A few months after their split, Brandon wished Billie a happy birthday on Instagram.
