Leonardo DiCaprio Didn’t Mean to Shade Lady Gaga
It was the Golden Globes moment that made Leonardo DiCaprio’s name start trending on social media before he even took home the award for Best Actor in a Drama for his role in The Revenant: shading Lady Gaga. Do the winners have a history? Why would he laugh at the singer? Is he too serious an actor to take Mother Monster seriously?
Turns out, there’s a less malicious explanation for the whole thing. Asked by a reporter on the red carpet after the big event what was really going on, DiCaprio explained, “I just didn’t know what was passing, that’s all, I was like, ‘Woah!’” OK, Leo. Now we get it.
