Robin Thicke just wants you to love somebody. The singer, beloved for his 2013 dance hit “Blurred Lines,” has a romantic new tune out entitled “When You Love Somebody”—a meaningful fit since Thicke is currently engaged and planning his wedding to April Love Geary. “Weddings are usually the happiest days in people’s lives,” he tells The Knot. “It’s where friendship, family, faith and hope all become one.”

For the day to be extra sentimental, music plays an all-important role. Whether you surprise your parents with their first dance song, or you walk down the aisle to a string quartet version of Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello’s “Señorita,” selecting a worthy playlist is a task that can make your wedding ceremony all-the-more memorable (and it’s a must-do if you want that packed dance floor at the reception).

“A great wedding playlist should embody the taste, soul, connection and celebration of the couple,” Thicke explains. Looking back, the singer reveals his all-time favorite wedding. “My favorite wedding would be Michael Jordan’s,” he recalls of performing in the NBA legend’s nuptials to Yvette Prieto in April 2013. “It’s where I had the honor of singing [during] the first dance.”

More than six years later, Thicke now has an updated, better-than-ever version of his favorite wedding love and dance songs. Listen below and add a few tunes to your growing playlist. Then, book your wedding DJ here.
