Exclusive: Here's Every Single Item in MAC's Holiday Collection

It's time for holiday makeup launches, which means we're about to be treated to the delightful tradition of beauty brands announcing seasonal makeup themes. Each year, our stockings are stuffed with makeup themed around gingerbread, or Rudolph, or New Year's Eve sparkle. But for MAC's 2019 holiday range, they've landed on the only makeup theme that truly matters, existentially speaking: You.

Named Starring You, MAC's holiday collection contains face, eye, and lip products all designed to turn you into an IRL version of the star on top of a Christmas tree. "More than just the inspiration behind shimmering hues, the star is YOU," reads the press release. "A legendary lineup for eyes, lips and face encourages everyone to create, make a name for themselves and claim centre stage." During the time of year when many people deal with family obligations, awkward work parties, and the stress of present-buying, we are deeply here for a celebration of the self — especially if it involves shimmering eye makeup.

"Upon working with the Starring You collection, the first word that came to my mind was ‘opulent,'" Fatima Thomas, MAC Senior Artist, says in the statement. "The finishes are reflective, varying from moderate frost to high-beam metallic, and apply smoothly. The color palette is sophisticated and urbane. After the predominantly fiery coppers and rusts of SS19, it’s refreshing to create looks with rich plums, pinots, irons and garnets laced with sparkle."

The range contains four eye shimmering shadow singles in Stars Align (silver with purple pearlescent shine), Stairs to the Stars (burgundy with purple), Swing on a Star (blue purple with blue-green), and Wishful Thinking (purple on purple). Best of all, the packaging looks like a glitzed-up Christmas cookie. Each pot is sold separately for $25. For the full "all eyes on me" effect, there's also a $19 black eye pencil and a gorgeous set of $17 lashes.

Next, stock up for mistletoe season with six new glitter lipsticks ($20 each) and five metallic and pearlescent lip glosses ($18.50 each). Named Kiss of Stars, the lipsticks are embossed with a star pattern, formulated with shimmery goodness, and topped off with a glitter cap. Shades run the gamut of moods you're bound to experience this holiday season, like Asterisk (deep blue), Starstruck (bright pink), and Walk of Flame (berry red). Then there's lip gloss in high-shine shades like Couting Stars (lilac), Starring You (pink), and Star Memoir (metallic ruby). Choose your favorite, then top the whole look off with a studded lip adornment ($10) perfect to shock the whole family at holiday dinner. Finally, we've got two opalescent face powders ($36) in pink shimmer and warm gold.
