Exclusive: ‘GLOW’ Star Britney Young Reveals What It’s Really Like Working with Alison Brie
Co-workers can make or break a job. So, when we sat down with GLOW star Britney Young to talk about the upcoming third season, we had to ask what the vibe is on set. The 30-year-old actress opened up about her fellow Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling and revealed what it’s really like working with Alison Brie.
“It’s been amazing. From the very get go [Alison] has really made sure that she set the tone for it to be a comfortable, safe space,” Young explained.
Aside from being a joy to work with, Young says her 36-year-old colleague has taught her and the rest of the cast a lot. “We look up to her, not just being the lead of our show, but just being a veteran of this business. She will ask for things, she will put her own spin on things and she kind of just really takes the creative process into her own hands while still making it very collaborative. It’s been something that has been amazing to watch and learn from,” Young admitted.
But Brie isn’t the only cast member who Young loves working with. In fact, she says the whole team is extremely close and supportive of one another.
She went on to say, “As for everyone else, we get along so well that it’s like going to work with your sisters everyday. We just have so much fun. But again, we have that safe space where we allow each other to experiment and try things and we respect the choices that each other make. We’re always open and willing to try things, and I think that’s something very rare in this business…And while we have fun, we still realize that we have to be professional and we have to get this job done. It’s just a joy to be around everybody.”
It sure sounds like it. We wouldn’t mind a cameo. Hint, hint, nudge, nudge.
