Exclusive: Will Aaron Carter Go to Rehab?

In the second part of our exclusive interview with Aaron Carter, ER physician Dr. Travis Stork and gastroenterologist Dr. Jorge Rodriguez urge the singer to get care at a rehab facility... but will he go?

Following an emotional sit-down with The Doctors, where they revealed to Aaron that he tested negative for all STDs and that his liver, kidney, thyroid, and stomach are healthy, but that he is suffering from malnourishment and endangering his health with the mixing of prescription medications, the singer seems receptive to receiving help.

"I don’t want to be on these pills, let’s get off of them," Aaron says of his use of benzodiazepines and opiates, which have been prescribed to him for pain and injuries. "I don’t want this to come across like, 'Oh yeah, Aaron’s an addict.'"

The Doctors arrange for Aaron to receive in-patient treatment at Alo House Recovery Centers, in Malibu, Calif., but at the end of their interview, the singer shares some concerns.

"I do have a lot of stuff coming up, obligations that I’ve already signed contracts for," he says after agreeing to take the first steps to recovery. Adding, "I get what you’re telling me… I just have to learn how to understand it and do it."

“We care about you. We’ve offered you something we think will work. At the end of the day, the proof is in the pudding… it’s all you," Dr. Rodriguez tells Aaron as the interview wraps and his commitment to entering rehab appears uncertain.
