This Is Exactly How to Get Kristen Bell’s ‘Frozen 2’ Premiere Hair

When it comes to the red carpet, Kristen Bell always crushes it. So, when the 39-year-old stepped out for the Frozen 2 premiere last night, you bet her brand-new bob was on point. We caught up with her hairstylist, Jenny Cho, for a Celebeauty Sit-Down and learned exactly how Bell’s bob got that shine.

Cho explained that Bell’s “Dior dress and the dusty rose color called for a low-key hairdo.” So, she honed in on the modern feel of the Frozen 2 star’s fresh chop and went for a “center part tucked behind the ears with barely any texture and a few loose strands out in front of the ears.” It “felt balanced and fresh with the dress,” she added. Below, Cho walks us through a step-by-step guide on how to recreate Bell’s red carpet look.

1. Get Sudsy

“Start with freshly washed hair using the Suave Professionals Rosemary Mint Shampoo ($3) and Conditioner ($3) to nourish the hair. It is paraben-free and is super gentle on all hair types. It gently cleanses and increases manageability.”

2. Nix Frizz

“Apply Davinas Spell Mousse ($28) all over for even distribution, then apply a dime-size amount of the Suave Professionals Sleek Anti-Frizz Smooth & Shine Cream ($13) from the mid-shaft to the ends. Continue to apply as needed.”

3. Tousle Those Tresses

“Part the hair in the center and loosely dry the hair from the nape using your fingers, so the product can be evenly distributed in the hair. Slightly scrunch the hair to bring out any natural texture.”

4. When in Doubt, Spray It Out

“Starting from the nape, mist the Suave Professionals Flexible Control Finishing Hairspray ($3) to each section of the hair and slightly flat iron the hair.”

5. Finishing Touches

“Make final touches by adding a dime-size amount of pomade to the palm of your hands and separate pieces of the hair for a lived-in bob.”

And voila, there’s your Kristen Bell–level hair.
