Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street? Apple TV+’s Helpsters will help write a code to find the way.

Apple’s new streaming service debuts on Nov. 1 with nine original series (and roll out more each month). Among those offerings is Helpsters, a new animated kids show from Sesame Workshop that focuses on all things STEM.

Here’s what you need to know about Helpsters on Apple TV+:

When does Helpsters premiere?

On Nov. 1, the day that the Apple TV+ streaming service launches. The subscription costs $4.99 a month, though customers who purchase a new Apple device can get a free year.

What’s Helpsters about?

Apple’s official synopsis says, “Meet Cody and the Helpsters, a team of vibrant monsters who love to solve problems. Whether it’s planning a party, climbing a mountain, or mastering a magic trick, the Helpsters can figure anything out — because everything starts with a plan.”

The show introduces a new muppet named Cody who helps preschoolers learn the rudimentary concepts of coding (see, the name is a play on the word). The Helpsters solve problems by taking ideas from computer programming.

Who is in it?

Stephanie D’Abruzzo voices Cody. Other Helpsters include Jennifer Barnhart as Jackie, Tim Lagasse as Scatter, and Martin P. Robinson as Mr. Primm.

What else is there to know?

At Apple TV+’s launch event in March, Big Bird made an appearance to introduce Cody and the Helpsters and to explain the educational benefits of the show.

“Coding fosters collaboration, critical thinking skills, and is an essential language that every child can learn,” Cody said. “By teaching preschoolers about coding, we're giving them the opportunity to change the world."

Big Bird added, “You're helping kids to grow up to be smarter, stronger and kinder.”
