Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox officially met and began dating in 2020.

Since connecting on the set of the thriller "Midnight in the Switchgrass," Kelly and Fox haven't been shy when it comes to talking about their relationship. In January 2022, Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, proposed to Fox.

Earlier this month, the couple seemed to hint they had split.

Here's a look at everything the couple has said about each other and their relationship so far:

Kelly seemingly confirmed their relationship using his own song lyrics

After paparazzi snapped photos of the couple kissing, Kelly seemed to confirm their relationship on Twitter with lyrics from his song "Bloody Valentine."

On June 15, 2020, he wrote, "'i'm calling you girlfriend, what the f---' life imitated art on that one."

Kelly said that when they first met, he waited for a moment of eye contact between them

When Kelly and Fox officially met on the set of "Midnight in the Switchgrass," Fox was still married to Green (though the two had been separated since the end of 2019, according to Green).

During the couple's first joint interview for the podcast "Give them Lala … With Randall" in July 2020, Kelly opened up about how he felt at the time.

He said that during shooting he would wait on the steps of his trailer every day "to catch one glimpse of eye contact."  "She would have to get out of her car. There were like, five steps between the car and the trailer," he added. "And I would just sit there and hope."

Fox said she immediately knew that they were 'twin flames'

Fox was immediately confident about their connection. In the same interview with "Give them Lala … With Randall," Fox said she felt an instant chemistry with Kelly.

"I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame," she said. "Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time."

"So we're actually two halves of the same soul, I think," she added. "And I said that to him almost immediately, because I felt it right away."

Kelly said that Fox has the 'most beautiful feet that exist' 

In July 2020, Kelly spoke with Teen Vogue about his "Bloody Valentine" music video and talked about some of his favorite scenes — one was a quick shot of Fox's foot on his face.

"It's no secret. I think feet are beautiful," he said. "And I think Megan has the most beautiful feet that exist."

He said Fox was prepared for the moment she put her foot on his face.

"I was like, 'Megan, you already know what I'm about to ask you,'" he recalled. "And she was like, 'Yeah, I literally got a pedicure just 'cause I knew you were gonna ask me that.' So I was like, 'All right. Well, plop it on.'"

Kelly said he had waited an 'eternity' for someone like Fox 

On July 28, 2020, Kelly posted the couple's first photo on social media, a mirror selfie of the two with their arms around each other and their tongues sticking out.

Kelly captioned the photo, "waited for eternity to find you again … "

Fox called him 'achingly beautiful' 

A few days after Kelly posted his photo, Fox uploaded her own of the two of them for the first time. Similar to Kelly's, it was a mirror selfie, and they both had towels wrapped around their waists.

Fox captioned the photo, "Achingly Beautiful Boy … My heart is yours." It's since been deleted.

Kelly said he was 'locked in,' seemingly referring to his relationship with Fox 

In August 2020, Kelly appeared on BuzzFeed's "Thirst Tweets" to read and respond to tweets from fans.

In one tweet, a fan wrote, "machine gun kelly I just wanna let you know am free this sunday to go on a date just let me know if ur free sunday cause I am free and would like to take you on a date."

Kelly responded by saying, "I'm locked in already right now. No dates for me. Probably ever."

Later in the video, he read a tweet that said, "i would let machine gun kelly suck on my toes maybe."

And he replied, "Like I said, I'm only sucking one pair of toes."

On camera, Kelly told Fox he was coming home to give her a big kiss

While making a red-carpet appearance at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards in August, Kelly held up a photo of Fox and thanked her.

To a camera, he said, "My beautiful girlfriend. For lip-syncing and making it look way better than when I do it. And taking a chance on me."

He went on, "And I'm actually getting on a plane right when I leave to come see you and give you a big kiss."

Kelly said that he didn't 'know what [love] was' until he met Fox

Fox wasn't the only one who felt an immediate connection. During an interview on "The Howard Stern Show" in September 2020, Kelly said he fell for Fox right away.

"I didn't know what [love] was until me and her made eye contact," he said. "That's when I was like, 'Whoa.'"

"After I made the big chunk of the album, I did fall in love for the first time. That was my first experience with being open to love and stuff like that," he added. "I definitely wasn't set up to believe that that's something that could ever exist."

When Howard Stern asked him if it was love at first sight, Kelly responded, "Yeah, for sure."

Kelly said that Fox influenced his album

During an October 2020 interview with NME, Kelly seemed to confirm what many fans speculated: Some of the lyrics on his album, "Tickets to My Downfall," were influenced by Fox.

"'Tickets' is essentially my diary, because I did fall in love during the making of this record, and I did become a better person. It's interesting," he said.

"I think the universe caught on to me wanting to make a change. It was like: 'Maybe we won't make this a reality; maybe we'll make this ironic,'" he added. "Instead of the downfall, go ahead and have the biggest rise of your f---ing life."

Fox compared their love to a tsunami 

In a November 2020 interview with Nylon, Fox described her relationship with Kelly as a "once in a lifetime thing" and a connection of "mythic proportions."

"Loving him is like being in love with a tsunami or a forest fire," she added. "The intensity of merging with him is just overwhelming, and the threat it poses is so powerful but so beautiful that you have no choice to surrender with reverence and with gratitude."

Kelly credited Fox for taking him 'out of the fast lane' 

During that same interview with Nylon, Kelly was asked if his relationship with Fox had anything to do with his new, calmer persona.

"Love is not what's being encouraged now. In fact, it's exactly the opposite: everything now is isolation, dehumanization, separation," he said.

"And f---, dude, you have in your head that you're this rock star, with multiple women and all that … " he added. "So finding someone that can take you out of the fast lane and make sure that you're safe, because at any minute you can crash — I love that it can evolve into that."

Fox added that she tries to help as much as she can.

"There's never an attempt to control him on my end. It's more that he looks to me to avoid his own self-destructive tendencies," she said. "And that's where I'm useful because on his own and left to his own devices I don't know how much interest he has in caring for himself."

Kelly said Fox had helped him with his pattern of substance abuse

In a November 2020 interview with Dave Franco for Interview magazine, Kelly spoke about how he has been getting through his pattern of substance abuse.

"When you have a partner, mine being Megan [Fox], sitting there with you on those dark nights when you're sweating and not being able to figure out why you're so in your head, to help you get out of your head and put it in perspective, that really, really helps," he said.

He went on to say, "The relationship allows me to leave the spaceship and give myself to the cosmos. I have a partner who has the rope and can yank me back to the space station. But I don't want to look at the rope. And I don't want to feel the rope. I want to be like, 'I'm leaving the space shuttle and I'm going to f---ing go to Mars.'"

Kelly gave Fox a sweet shout-out on Instagram

After the couples' first red-carpet appearance together at the American Music Awards in November 2020, Kelly posted a photo of the two of them posing, plus a behind-the-scenes mirror selfie.

He captioned the photo, "slept next to a shotgun til she came into my life."

Kelly and Fox shared Valentine's Day posts on their respective Instagram accounts

On February 14, 2021, Kelly shared several photos of him and Fox on Instagram, captioning the post, "i wear your blood around my neck."

The line appeared to reference the second photo of the batch, a picture of a necklace with a drop of red in the center, and seemingly indicated that's Fox's blood in the orb.

During a May 2021 interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Kelly confirmed that Fox gifted him the drop of her blood because she was going to be filming in Bulgaria.

"I mean, some people give a handkerchief to their partner or whatever," he said. "She gave me her DNA."

Fox also took to social media to celebrate the day, posting several photos and a video of the pair with a caption that read like a poem. The posts have since been deleted.

Kelly shared that their early dates were quite risky

During Kelly's May 2021 appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," he shared that his early dates with Fox were quite dangerous. He said they even scaled a third-story balcony during their first one.

"I saw this roof, and I was like, 'I used to hang out there. I just want you to come and see my world for a minute,'" he said.

Kelly then added that they swam with sharks in Bora Bora for their second date, which required him to face his fears while Fox was in her element.

"She loves nature, she's like very in tune with the Earth, and I'm scared of sharks, so we went swimming with sharks," he said.

The singer tweeted about the first time Fox said she loved him

Shortly after turning heads at the May 2021 Billboard Music Awards, where Kelly painted his tongue black, the singer tweeted about their first anniversary of Fox saying she loved him.

"she said 'i love you' one year ago today," Kelly posted on May 25.

Fox called Kelly an 'amazing actor'

During a June 2021 interview with Entertainment Tonight about her and Kelly's upcoming film "Midnight in the Switchgrass," Fox raved about her boyfriend's on-screen talent.

"I don't know if people understand what a good actor he is," she said. "He is so charismatic and he's so naturally gifted and he's so intense."

"Which is annoying because he's also a brilliant, creative genius as a musician. So then, for him to show up on set and just be so much better than you at what you do for a living is very annoying," Fox added. "But he's really gifted. He's an amazing actor. He's going to win awards one day."

Fox said she doesn't believe Kelly 'would have a problem' with her crush on Angelina Jolie

During a June 2021 appearance on Fox5's "Good Day New York" promoting her horror flick "Till Death," Fox was asked if Kelly was OK with her longstanding crush on Jolie.

"I can't imagine he would have a problem with it," Fox answered. "I think he would survive, I think he can hang in there for that one."

"I think I said that like a decade ago, but I stand by it," she added. "I stick with it."

She said she calls him by lots of different names

During the same "Good Day New York" appearance, Fox said she has several nicknames for Kelly.

"I call him 'cookie,' I call him 'buddha,' I call him 'bubbie,'" she said. "He has lots of names."

Fox said she immediately knew Kelly was her 'soul mate'

In a July 2021 interview with the Washington Post, Fox spoke about her connection to Kelly.

She said she "wasn't expecting it'd be like, 'God, you are my soul mate,' instantly" after first meeting him on the set of "Midnight in the Switchgrass."

"The first time I looked into his eyes, I was like ... "I know you. I have known you so many times, in so many different forms, in so many different lives," she added.

Fox said her sheer 2021 VMAs gown was Kelly's idea

The couple turned heads at the September 2021 MTV VMAs when Kelly wore a sparkling red tuxedo and Fox donned a completely sheer dress.

On the red carpet, the "Jennifer's Body" actress told Entertainment Tonight the look was Kelly's idea.

"He was like, 'You're gonna be naked tonight,'" Fox joked, according to Entertainment Tonight. "I was like, 'Whatever you say, daddy!'"

They posted photos from their British GQ shoot on Instagram

Fox and Kelly appeared together on the October 2021 cover of British GQ for a feature story about being "Hollywood's hottest new power couple."

Posting pictures from the shoot on Instagram, Kelly wrote, "a life without you is worse than death, put a bullet in my head if we have nothing left," as the start of his caption. It's since been deleted.

Fox posted a different set of photos, and her caption began with, "the tale of two outcasts and star crossed lovers caught in the throes of a torrid, solar flare ..." It's since been deleted.

Kelly talked about their unique first kiss

The singer told British GQ in the same interview that Fox didn't actually kiss him during their first kiss.

"She wouldn't kiss me," he said. "We just put our lips right in front of each other and breathed each other's breath and then she just left."

He added that the pair later "went to the roof and played pop punk and made out" during their first date.

The couple said they met at a party in LA several years back but didn't see each other's faces 

Although they officially met on the set of "Midnight in the Switchgrass," they said they had previously shared a brief exchange at an LA party.

Fox said "a weird thing happened" in which they "didn't see each other," even though she remembers a quick conversation with a "tall, blond, ghostly creature."

"... I looked up and I was like, 'You smell like weed,'" she told British GQ in October 2021. "He looked down at me and he was like, 'I am weed.' Then, I swear to God, he disappeared like a ninja in a smoke bomb."

"I think we weren't allowed to see each other yet," she added. "We weren't supposed to run into each other that night, so our souls, our spirit guides, were luring us away from each other, because you literally had no face, like that thing from 'Spirited Away.'"

Kelly said the 'only reason' he took the role in 'Midnight in the Switchgrass' was to act alongside Fox

During a December 2021 interview on "The Drew Barrymore Show," Kelly said he accepted his role in "Midnight in the Switchgrass" after he was told he'd get to act alongside Fox.

"We were filming a movie and the only reason I took the movie is because they were like, 'There's scenes with Megan Fox,'" he explained. "I was like, 'I'll take the movie.'"

He added that he'd hang out around Fox's trailer, until one day, she invited him inside for lunch. He said he knew this was coming, as his "gut is always right."

Fox wrote that they 'drank each other's blood' after they got engaged

After dating for about a year and a half, Fox and Kelly got engaged in January 2022.

Fox posted a since-deleted video of the moment on her Instagram, which shows Kelly getting down on one knee beside a tree.

"In July of 2020 we sat under this banyan tree," she started her caption. "We asked for magic."

She wrote that they were "oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time," but after "having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him."

Fox added, "…and then we drank each other's blood."

The actress said Kelly has affected her sense of style

In a January 2022 Vogue interview, Fox said fashion wasn't something she "focused on or thought about."

"Because as an actress I had been classified or put in the category of being a sex symbol," Fox said. "And publicists come in and they bring in a stylist and it's all about dressing more seriously, so that the world will take you more seriously as an actor."

She added that since she wasn't being dressed in a truly expressive way, she "gave up on fashion," until she met Kelly.

"Musicians have so much freedom to express themselves in the way that they dress," she said. "… And being with him, obviously, he's slightly eccentric in the way that he dresses — and that has freed me up to express myself more."

Fox's engagement ring has thorns that would hurt if she took it off because love is 'pain' 

According to the caption on his January 2022 post, Kelly commissioned Stephen Webster to make Fox's engagement ring, which has two sections held together by magnets to form an "obscure heart."

Additionally, Kelly told Vogue that same month, the bands are actually thorns that would hurt if she tried to take it off.

He added, "Love is pain!"

Fox said she 'made' Kelly

"He's literally my exact physical type that I've been manifesting since I was four," she told Glamour in April 2022, adding, "I'm also four years older than him. So, I think I made him."

"My thoughts and intentions grew him into the person that he is, who knows what he would've looked like or been like if it wasn't for me," she added.
