The cast of Zoey 101 have been sparking rumors of a possible reboot and now fans are hoping they're true. While the cast has been staying pretty quiet about another season, it would certainly be interesting to see what happened next to our favorite students of Pacific Coast Academy, ten years after the show ended.

Here's everything we know about the possible Zoey 101 reboot...

Are there any other special projects the cast are working on together?

While we'll all hoping to find out what happens next to our favorite PCA alumni, the cast have certainly been spending a lot of time together recently. After their recent reunion on All That, Jamie Lynn Spears just released a special clip of the cast getting back together for a remix of Zoey 101's theme song. Hopefully, this means that some brand new episodes are also on the way!

What does Jaime Lynn Spears want for the reboot?

Although it's been a while since we've heard news of a reboot, Jaime wants to reassure fans that she's still totally down for it.

"I definitely think we should give the fans what they’ve been asking for. We’ve had conversations, and hopefully things will come together quickly, but we also want to do things the right way, and find the right home for it and the right story for it. It gives the fans what they've so patiently waited for," Jaime said while talking on Better Together with Maria Menudos.

Maria mentioned that Nick currently has a deal with Netflix, which prompted Jaime to say talk about how she would so totally want it to move to the streaming giant.

"That’s the business side. Do I call Netflix? I want it to happen. I’ve had conversations with people at Nickelodeon," Jamie continued. "I think it’s just about, hey Netflix, call your people! I’ll have your people call me people!"

She also talked about Zoey and Chase's relationship and how it would be if the show would come back.

"We were like the biggest tease in the whole entire world. If the show comes back, I do think that their love story has to be a bit of a broken one. I don’t think it could be like, 'Oh, we got right out of PCA and had a wonderful love story!' That just wasn’t Zoey and Chase," Jamie Lynn said. "It would have to be some break ups, and some makeups. But, of course, the Zoey fans want to see them together! They love each other, but they can never make it last!"

So is a reboot officially happening?

Things are still up in the air when it comes to a possible Zoey 101 reboot. While it has been reported that Jamie Lynn Spears is currently in talks with Nickelodeon to bring the show back, nothing has been made official just yet.

Who would come back?

So far, it looks like the whole cast might officially be on board if it does happen. Chris Massey, Sean Flynn, Victoria Justice, Matt Underwood, Abby Wilde, Paul Butcher, Jack Salvatore and Erin Sanders were all at the reunion with series creator Dan Schneider on Monday night. Dan also confirmed that he was talking to Sean, who played Chase, which is how the rumors got started.

Unfortunately, Jamie missed out on the reunion, but her co-stars sent her a cute video of them singing the theme song, basically confirming that they are so down for a reboot.

Austin Butler, who starred as James, also wasn't on hand for the reunion, but that doesn't mean that he won't show up later on. Alexa Nikolas, who played Nicole during the first two seasons, was not at the reunion and she revealed that she wasn't invited, likely to her previous drama with Jamie. She also said she wouldn't come back for a reboot if it does happen, as long as Dan Schneider was a part of it.

What would it be about?

According to TMZ, the show's reboot would follow Zoey 10 years after the end of the original show as she juggles with motherhood in California. There's no word on how the rest of the cast members would fit into it or if the show would take place at Pacific Coast Academy like the original, but we're sure that Nickelodeon has a plan for all of that.

There's a good chance the show would take place after the viral video that Dan Schneider released a couple of years ago, featuring Chase who suddenly discovers what Zoey said in her tape that she put in the time capsule back in season 2.

When would the reboot come out?

An exact date hasn't been released since the show hasn't started production yet, but there's a good chance that mid or late-2020 is a good guess if they start filming soon!
