Everything We Know About “Stranger Things” Season 3

Netflix just announced the names of all the episodes in “Stranger Things” Season 3, meaning the hype for the beloved sci-fi/horror series is officially back. Here’s everything we know. If we’re to believe the tweets made by @NXOnNetflix, the official Netflix Twitter handle for everything sci-fi, then there appears to be 8 episodes in Season 3. The “Stranger Things” account also tweeted a video for the new season, which includes the episode names, ending with the cryptic message, “In the summer of 1985, the adventure continues…” In July, Netflix premiered a teaser trailer for Season 3, which seemed to resemble an infomercial for the Starcourt Mall. And since one of the episode titles is “The Battle of Starcourt,” and another is “The Mall Rats,” it appears this 1980s mall may be a point of focus for some serious inter-dimensional activity. Taking place one year after the second season, it seems that the 1980s are in full swing. Whereas “Ghostbusters” was the major point of reference in Season 2, this one will draw from “Back to the Future.” Many are anxious to see what happened to Season 2 heroes Steve Harrington and Dustin. “Stranger Things” executive producer Shawn Levy dropped some hints to “The Hollywood Reporter.”
