Salma Hayek as Maxandra Mendoza

Academy Award nominee Salma Hayek joined the cast as socialite Maxandra Mendoza after Thandiwe Newton had to "step away for personal reasons," Deadline reported in April 2022. Hayek shares a steamy lap dance scene with Tatum that she's still trying to unpack.
"It's very physically challenging," divulged Hayek in an interview with Entertainment Tonight. "My goodness. You just wait to see. It's just complicated."
Gavin Spokes as Matthew
Warner Bros. tapped Gavin Spokes, who played Lord Lyonel Strong in six episodes of House of the Dragon, to take on the role of Matthew.
Caitlin Gerard as Kim
Caitlin Gerard is perhaps best known for her roles as Aubry Taylor in the TV series American Crime and Lizzy Macklin in The Wind (2018).
Christopher Bencomo as Kim's Husband

Across the pond, Lane must get a whole new crew of (similarly and beautifully built) dancers ready for prime time.
What is the story behind Magic Mike?
Magic Mike is inspired by Channing Tatum's time working as a male stripper in Florida after foregoing a football scholarship. According to a GQ interview back in 2011, Tatum used to dance under the name Chan Crawford.
"I was young and dumb and wanted to make a little money," Tatum explained.
