Kristen Stewart is one of Hollywood's A-Listers known for keeping her personal life out of the spotlight. That all changed on November 2, 2021, when she announced that she was engaged to her girlfriend, Dylan Meyer, during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show.

For the past two years, the couple has quietly managed to stay under the radar, seldomly sharing bits and pieces of their romance on social media and in interviews. Like most celeb couples, we want to know everything about Kristen's fiancée. Read on if you're wondering who Dylan Meyer is and how she got together with Kristen Stewart.

Dylan is a screenwriter

She penned the screenplay for the Netflix movie Moxie alongside Tamara Chestna. In a November 2019 interview with Howard Stern, Kristen revealed that she originally met Dylan on the set of a movie and didn't reconnect with her until six years later.

Dylan also co-wrote and executive produced Netflix's 2016 film, XOXO, along with the short film, Loose Ends, in 2015. She's credited for writing the film, Rock Bottom, in 2019.

She's also an actress

Dylan appeared in The Death and Return of Superman, Wrestling Isn't Wrestling, and Jem Reacts to the New Jem and the Holograms Trailer.

She shared the cutest post for Kristen's birthday

On Sunday, April 10, Dylan took to Instagram with a sweet message in honor of Kristen's 32nd birthday. She had the most adorable reaction to Kristen's Oscar nom

On Tuesday, February 8, Kristen received her first-ever Oscar nomination. She earned her nod in the Best Lead Actress category for her role as the late Princess Diana in the Pablo Larraín-directed biopic Spencer.

But just in case the Academy snubbed Kristen's performance as the People's Princess, Dylan was well-prepared with a statue of her own. "Guess I’m not gonna have to give her this anymore 😎," she wrote on Twitter, alongside a picture of a plastic trophy with a "Best Sweetheart" engraving.

That same day, Kristen herself expressed her excitement over her nomination: "WOW I wish Pablo and I were in the same country today," she shared in a statement with Entertainment Tonight.

"I am speechless and humbled this morning. I am bowled over by this," Kristen continued. "I am so touched and I am so grateful for the work that was generated on this film. I'm so proud to be a part of our film community. I am SO happy. It is a good day."

They're ready to get married

Kristen Stewart joked that both she and Dylan Meyer wanted to elope instead of having a huge wedding ceremony during an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday, January 24, 2022.

"I'm so unceremonial. I think we might just go do it this weekend or something... and then, like, just hang out with everyone afterwards," Kristen explained. According to K-Stew, she'd prefer to "have a big party."

"I just want to do it," the Spencer star explained. "I'm not a good planner. I can't make plans for dinner. I like to pivot. You never know where I'm going, man."

Dylan popped the question

During her big reveal on The Howard Stern Show, Kristen revealed that Dylan was the one who actually proposed. "We're marrying, we're totally gonna do it," she said. “I wanted to be proposed to, so I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it. We're marrying, it's happening."

They were first rumored to have been engaged or married during summer 2021

Dylan made things IG official with Kristen in November 2019

She uploaded a black-and-white picture of her kissing K Stew on Instagram with the caption, "Find me under the covers hiding from the happiness police. 🖤"

Kristen wanted to propose to her back in 2019

The Spencer star revealed her desire to propose all the way back in 2019. During an appearance on the Howard Stern Show, Kristen said, "Absolutely. I can't f***ing wait," when asked if she was ready to head down the aisle.

Kristen also recounted telling Dylan that she loved her only two weeks into their relationship. "It was like really late, and we were in some sh***y bar, and her friends were there or whatever, and they like walked out, and I was just like, 'Oh man, I’m so f***ing in love with you. Done."

Dylan gave Kristen a heartfelt birthday tribute on Instagram in April 2020.

"It’s my absolute favorite persons birthday and I’m wishing everyone the volume of beautiful feeling I feel toward her," she swooned. "It’s a short ride on this earth, spend your time with someone that inspires you to be the best version of yourself and lights your s**t on fire."

They spent the pandemic together and hit the streets to protest injustice

Back when the world shut down and stay-at-home orders prevented us from gathering in large crowds, Dylan and Kristen spent the pandemic together. According to shots of the couple obtained by Elle, they were caught on a coffee run in June. Daily Mail obtained photos of the duo attending a Black Lives Matter protest together earlier that month.

She allowed Kristen to take over her Instagram to promote National Voter Registration Day

K Stew may not have her own personal Instagram account, but she used Dylan’s IG to stress the importance of voting. Dylan wrote, "I turned the mic over to Kristen because she had some things to say and doesn’t have her own account. Happy #nationalvoterregistrationday," before dropping in a quote from Kristen.

Dylan agrees with Kristen's stance on voting, too. The screenwriter showcased her dedication, posting the cutest selfie with Kristen to encourage her followers to hit the polls. "I think I might chew my fingers off from nerves today but here’s a sweet photo@lindseybyrnes took. I really hope you vote," she wrote. "There are lots of crucial issues on your ballot besides the presidency and your voice truly does make a difference. The opportunity to have a say in the laws that govern you is precious, please don’t waste it."

According to her Instagram, Dylan adores animals, especially her two cats Zsa Zsa and Snack

She posted this adorable selfie with one of her cats on Instagram and captioned it, "Back on my cat game and it feels so good!😻"

She's from Los Angeles
