Epic Mickey Rebrushed mouse

Nintendo just dropped a huge Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase, with no premiere or stream — just a video with 23 entire minutes of announcements. The announcements range from smaller titles, like Penny’s Big Breakaway to World of Goo 2 all the way up to some bigger stories, like a new, enhanced version of Shin Megami Tensei V, two Xbox games making the jump to Switch, and a remaster of Epic Mickey, somehow.

The biggest announcements are, of course, that Grounded and Pentiment – two Xbox Game Studios games – are headed to Switch after having been Xbox exclusive for quite some time. We knew that some Xbox games were coming, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see these two headed to PlayStation very shortly too.

In terms of big surprises, a new Endless Ocean game was a pretty big shock, as we all thought that series was long dead and buried. A bunch of Rare games have been added to Nintendo Switch Online too, and we’re getting a new Super Monkey Ball game. Shin Megami Tensei V is getting an enhanced version subtitled Vengeance, though it’s currently unclear if there’ll be an upgrade path for owners of the current game.

Penny’s Big Breakaway, an indie 3D platformer, is also coming out today, as is Game Freak’s Pocket Card Jockey remake. It really is a wide variety of games on display, and there’s really something for everybody.
