When Meghan Markle announced that she was expecting her first child (on October 15, 2018 to be exact), she had many fans on maternity style watch. They didn't have to wait long to see Meghan's first outfit post–baby news (she wore a white fitted dress by Karen Gee during a 16-day royal tour through Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand). Today, I'm looking back on how the Duchess of Sussex excelled in wearing tailored, contemporary separates and dresses, not to mention heels, whilst pregnant with Archie.

Meghan and Harry joined members of the British royal family for a traditional church service at Westminster Abbey to celebrate Commonwealth Day. The Duchess of Sussex wore a bespoke Victoria Beckham outfit and a Jackie O–style pillbox hat.

The couple went to the Canadian Embassy to meet with Canadians living in Britain and take part in activities to celebrate the Canadian heritage. Meghan wore an emerald green coat from Erdem with a matching dress underneath. She accessorized with Aquazzura pumps and her Givenchy satin clutch.

Meghan appeared for a panel, convened by the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, for International Women’s Day. She wore a printed dress from Reiss, Manolo Blahnik pumps, and an Alexander McQueen black blazer. She carried a Stella McCartney crossbody bag.

The Duchess of Sussex made a surprise visit to WE Day UK at the SSE Arena in Wembley, London. She wore a casual outfit consisting of a Ralph Lauren blazer, black top, black jeans, and Manolo Blahnik heels.

The couple attended a reception to mark the 50th anniversary of the investiture of the Prince of Wales at Buckingham Palace. The Duchess of Sussex dressed up in an elegant neutral outfit, including a bespoke brocade dress, Amanda Wakeley coat, and Paul Andrew pumps.

The royal couple met with King Mohammed VI of Morocco during their tour of the country. Meghan wore a flowing blue bespoke Carolina Herrera dress and carried a Dior clutch.

The couple visited the Andalusian Gardens to hear about youth empowerment in Morocco from a number of young social entrepreneurs in Rabat, Morocco. Meghan wore a white blazer from Aritzia, a Loyd/Ford pleated dress, and Manolo Blahnik sling backs.

Prince Harry and Meghan made a visit to the Moroccan Royal Federation of Equestrian Sports in Rabat on the third day of their tour of Morocco. The Duchess of Sussex dressed down in a striped Equipment shirt, Rag & Bone maternity jeans, a J.Crew mens jacket, and black Stuart Weitzman boots.

The couple attended a reception hosted by the British Ambassador to Morocco at the British Residence during the second day of their tour of Morocco. Meghan covered up in a bespoke Dior gown, Dior pumps, and carried a Dior clutch.

The royal couple visited students and teachers at a local secondary school in Asni, Morocco. The Duchess of Sussex stuck to her blazer and jeans look, this time the pieces were from Alice + Olivia and Rag & Bone, respectively. She traded in her heels for comfy flats by Birdies. She shielded her eyes with Illesteva sunglasses.

The couple arrived at Casablanca airport in Casablanca, Morocco for their royal tour. The Duchess of Sussex wore a stunning bespoke red Valentino dress, neutral-colored pumps, and a Valentino crossbody bag. She also carried a pair of beige gloves.

Meghan departed The Mark Hotel in New York City for London after her friends threw her a baby shower. The Duchess of Sussex went for a casual Ingrid & Isobel hoodie, Lululemon leggings, and camel coat—an outfit not usually spotted on a royal.

Meghan was photographed leaving The Mark Hotel in New York City for lunch out with her good friend Abigail Spencer. She wore an oversized Courrèges haute couture black coat, Hatch maternity trousers, and Stuart Weitzman heels. She covered her eyes from the paps with Le Specs sunglasses.

The Duchess of Sussex looked angelic in all white for a gala performance of "The Wider Earth" at the Natural History Museum in London, England. She wore an Amanda Wakeley coat, Calvin Klein turtleneck dress, and Ralph Lauren accessories that matched her clutch from the fashion house.

Prince Harry and Meghan attended the Endeavor Fund Awards. The Duchess of Sussex wore a menswear-inspired skirt-and-blouse ensemble from her go-to designer Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy. She stood tall in a pair of black-and-gold Aquazzura heels and carried her trusty Givenchy clutch.

Meghan and Harry visited Bristol, where they toured some of the city’s iconic landmarks. The Duchess of Sussex wore an Oscar de la Renta floral dress and Sarah Flint boots.

Meghan visited one of her patronages, the Association of Commonwealth Universities. She chose an all-black Givenchy outfit to wear with her beige Manolo Blahnik pumps.

Meghan visited another one of her patronages, the National Theatre while wearing a beige-colored ensemble from Brandon Maxwell. She teamed the outfit with a pair of Aquazzura pumps and Carolina Herrera clutch.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the premiere of Cirque du Soleil’s "Totem" show in support of Sentebale at the Royal Albert Hall. Meghan wore a glittery Roland Mouret sequined gown and a pair of Stuart Weitzman's popular black nudist heels. She carried a Givenchy clutch.

Earlier that same day, the Duchess of Sussex visited Mayhew Animal Welfare Charity of which she is a patron. She wore a fine knit dress from H&M maternity with a cashmere coat from Armani and a Paul Andrew pump.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex kicked off their 2019 working schedule with a visit to Birkenhead in Merseyside to meet local organizations that support and empower groups within the community. Meghan wore a Sentaler red coat, a purple dress from Aritzia, and red pumps from Stuart Weitzman. A trendy Gabriela Hearst bag in brown leather tied the outfit together.

The Duchesses were all smiles as they walked together for the Christmas Day Church service at Church of St. Mary Magdalene on the Sandringham estate in England. While Kate wore a red coat from Catherine Walker and red hat, Meghan wore a navy ensemble from Victoria Beckham and matching fascinator.

Meghan visited the Royal Variety charity’s Brinsworth House, a residential nursing home in Twickenham, during the holidays. She wore a blooming floral dress from Brock Collection and a Soia & Kyo coat. The color matched her Aquazurra gray pumps.

Meghan made a surprise appearance at The Fashion Awards to present designer Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy the Womenswear Designer of the Year award. Keller made the Duchess' wedding dress and Meghan continues to wear many of her designs to events. On stage, she of course wore a one-shoulder black Givenchy gown.

Meghan and Harry brought the glamour to the red carpet at the annual Royal Variety Performance. While the prince looked smart in a sleek suit, Meghan wore a dazzling black-and-white embellished top by Safiyaa and a black fishtail Safiyaa skirt.

The couple attended the Centenary of the Armistice Service at Westminster Abbey. They matched in navy, with Meghan wearing a bespoke Prada dress and Stephen Jones hat. Her shoes, no surprise, were from Aquazzura.

The couple arrived at the Australian Geographic Society Awards to present awards at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney. Meghan wore an Oscar de la Renta dress and Aquazzura pumps.

The royal couple departed Sydney Airport for New Zealand on Oct. 28. Meghan wore a dress by Boss, Aquazzura pumps, and a Cuyana bag.

Meghan and Prince Harry attended the Invictus Games wheelchair basketball finals at the Quay Centre. She wore a Theodore peplum top, Outland Denim jeans, and Sarah Flint heels.

Meghan and Harry held hands as they walked through Abel Tasman National Park. She wore aSeasalt Cornwall jacket, Outland Denim jeans, Stella McCartney x Adidas shoes, and a scarf by Loro Piana.

The royal couple attended a reception at the Auckland War Memorial Museum, where they watched cultural performances by members of the Pasifika community who live in Auckland. Meghan wore a Antonio Berardi dress and Aquazzura shoes.

While meeting with young people in the mental health sector at the Wellington Cafe in New Zealand, Meghan wore an all-black outfit. She wore a Club Monaco coat, David Jones sweater, Outland Denim jeans, and Stuart Weitzman lace-up boots.

Meghan and Harry arrived in Auckland to unveil a plaque that dedicates a 20 hectare area of bush to the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy. She wore a Karen Walker jacket, Lavender Hill Clothing Co. shirt, J.Crew jeans, and boots from The Muck Boot Company.

Meghan and Prince Harry greeted fans in Auckland while on their way to a Pillars charity event. She wore a Brandon Maxwell dress, Burberry coat, and Stuart Weitzman pumps.

While departing Tonga, the Duchess of Sussex chose a comfortable and breezy Veronica Beard blue dress. She paired the look with light-blue ankle strap pumps from Banana Republic.

Meghan met the Prime Minister of Tonga in a striped Martin Grant shirtdress and Manolo Blahnik olive heels. The dress had a fit-and-flare silhouette and a small belted bow accented her waistline. She carried a Prada bag.

Meghan and Prince Harry attended an evening reception and dinner with the King of Tonga. For the occasion, Prince Harry wore a black suit while Meghan wore a custom white ivory crepe column gown by Theia. She accessorized with Aquazzura pumps, Birks earrings, and a Givenchy clutch. The royal also wore Princess Diana's aquamarine ring again (Meghan first wore it to her wedding reception back in May).

Meghan and Prince Harry arrived in Tonga as part of their 16-day royal tour. She wore a custom red Self-Portrait dress to honor the country's flag colors and re-wore her navy Manolo Blahnik heels and Dior clutch.

Before departing Fiji, Meghan and Prince Harry made a pit stop to unveil the Labalaba statue at the Nadi Airport. She wore a Jason Wu dress and Manolo Blahnik navy pumps. She carried a Dior clutch and accessorized with Pippa Small leaf earrings and bangles from the brand.

On day two of their Fiji visit, Prince Harry and Meghan visited the University of the South Pacific in Suva. Meghan stunned in a ruffle dress with pom pom details. She wore a pair of Karen Walker earrings and re-wore her Castañer wedge espadrilles.

Prince Harry and Meghan attended an evening reception and state dinner hosted by the President of Fiji. Meghan glowed in a blue cape dress by Safiyaa and chandelier drop earrings.

Meghan landed in Fiji for day one of three in the region as part of their royal tour. The Duchess of Sussex changed in flight into a cream-colored Zimmermann dress, a Stephen Jones fascinator, Tabitha Simmons pumps, and carried a Kayu clutch.

Meghan stepped out with Prince Harry for a walk around Fraser Island. The Duchess of Sussex wore a striped Reformation dress with her brown Sarah Flint sandals.

After attending a lunchtime reception hosted by the Prime Minister with Invictus Games competitors and community representatives, Harry and Meghan visited Sydney Olympic Park for day two of the Invictus Games. Meghan wore a white L’Agence ‘Brea’ Blazer, Aquazzura Deneuve pumps, and a black turtleneck and black pants.

For day two of the Invictus Games, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle turned out to show their support for athletes in the sailing competition. Meghan wore a waterproof Invictus Games jacket, what appear to be leggings or yoga pants, a pair of white Veja V-10 sneakers, and Krewe sunglasses.

On Saturday, Meghan and Harry both attended the opening ceremony of the 2018 Invictus Games at the Sydney Opera House. Meghan wore a navy, Stella McCarthy cape dress.

On Saturday, Meghan and Harry attended the 2018 Invictus Games Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge and showed their support for the Games in matching, logo-bearing polos. Meghan paired hers with a white Altuzarra ‘Acacia’ Blazer.

Meghan and Harry attended the official opening of the Anzac Memorial during their tour. Harry wore his military uniform and Meghan wore a black Emilia Wickstead Camila Coat and a black fascinator.

For day four of the royal tour, Meghan wore a fit-and-flare blue midi dress from Roksanda. She styled the look with Stuart Weitzman pumps and a bracelet and earrings from Birks. Prince Harry even matched his wife with a light blue tie. The duo visited the MacArthurs Girls School.

Prince Harry and Megan held hands as they walked to meet Grant Trebilco and Sam Schumacher, founder and co-founder of OneWave, a local surfing community group raising awareness for mental health and well-being at Bondi Beach. For the outing, the Duchess of Sussex wore a striped Martin Grant dress and Castañer wedge espadrilles.

Prince Harry and Meghan smiled for photos at a beach in Melbourne. The Duchess of Sussex wore a Club Monaco dress underneath her Martin Grant trench coat and a pair of Rothy's flats.

For day three of the royal tour, Megan wore a folded Dion Lee navy dress with matching pumps from Manolo Blahnik. The dress hugged her midsection but then flowed away at the bottom thanks to the asymmetrical hem.

For day two of the royal tour, Prince Harry and Meghan dressed down in casual separates. She wore a plaid blazer from Serena Williams' clothing line, a Maison Kitsuné white collared shirt, a pair of dark Outland jeans, and black suede J.Crew booties.

Meghan and Prince Harry attended a reception hosted by the Governor-General at Admiralty House in Sydney on day one of their royal tour. Megan wore a Brandon Maxwell pleated shirtdress and Tamara Mellon heels.

For the first day of their royal tour, Prince Harry and Meghan descended into Sydney, Australia. Meghan's airport attire consisted of a black coat with maroon trims, a black top, trousers, and Sarah Flint pumps.

Meghan and Prince Harry made an official visit to Sussex, a rural county in south-east England, to participate in a series of activities. For the day, Megan wore a forest green Hugo Boss leather pencil skirt, an & Other Stories blouse, and a pair of Stuart Weitzman heels.

While attending the We Are Coach Core Awards, Meghan wore an Oscar de la Renta navy top and Altuzarra pants. She even tossed around a ball in her Aquazzura heels.

Prince Harry and Meghan attended the 100 days of peace concert to commemorate the centenary of the end of the First World War at Central Hall Westminster in London. The Duchess of Sussex wore a blue Jason Wu dress with Aquazzura pumps and carried a Dior clutch.
