The show paid tribute to Karl Lagerfeld's 54-year tenure in the heart of ancient Rome
Last night, Sylvia Venturini Fendi presented her Fall 2019 Haute Couture collection at the Colle Palatino in the heart of ancient Rome. Dubbed “The Dawn of Romanity,” the lineup paid tribute to Karl Lagerfeld’s 54-year tenure at the luxury Italian label, most notably through his archive sketches that came to life in the form of silhouettes. As models paraded through a scenic Italian garden amid the backdrop of the Colosseum, A-listers like Zendaya, Catherine-Zeta Jones, and Susan Sarandon watched from the front row.
