The third installment in the brand’s line of eco-friendly sneakers, Everlane’s latest model for men and women is designed to help save the planet — even after you’re done wearing it.

Called “The Forever Sneaker,” the minimalist low-top shoe is made with a recycled cotton-canvas upper and partially natural rubber sole. And to reduce waste in landfills, All Forever sneakers can be returned with a prepaid shipping label or to an Everlane store at the end of their lifecycles. The brand will then send the sneakers to a Debrand facility, where they will be repurposed into equestrian flooring and mats (such as door mats and standing desk pads).

Created to look even better with age, the timeless style is also machine washable and durable. It currently retails for $58 on Everlane.com and comes in five neutral hues, including black, white and a muted yellow color.

The brand’s sustainably made sneaker collection also includes the Tread trainer and Court sneaker, both of which are completely carbon neutral. They feature non-plastic soles made with a blend of natural and recycled rubber and leather uppers sourced from Saigon TanTec, which said it uses 42% less electricity and 56% less fresh water than similar factories.
