If Ethan Craft from Lizzie McGuire was your ~first love~, then I hate to be the one to tell you this but he's now off the market. Well, he's been off the market for years, but now he's happily engaged, and the photos are even better than eating unlimited spaghetti in Rome.

Watch Lizzie McGuire now

On Sunday (December 1), Clayton Snyder posted pics on Instagram of his engagement to actress Allegra Edwards. His caption is honestly so sweet:

"2009•2019 Dear Allegra. Some things never change. Except, a lot changed, and then it got very similar, but very different, but better, and now, your finger’s a bit heavier. And not just because of all the pecan pie. What a Thanksgiving. I love your laugh. I love your heart. I love your family. I love you. Looking forward to wifing you."

Their 2019 Thanksgiving was just a teensy bit more memorable than mine. Clayton's Lizzie McGuire co-star, Carly Schroeder (aka Matt McGuire's BFF, Melina), commented on the Insta with, "Congrats bro. Love you. 👍🏼"

Clayton later 'grammed more pics and a video to help commemorate the big moment. Allegra happy crying while showing off her new ring is the kind of vibe I'm looking to bring in the coming new year.

Allegra posted similar pics on her own Instagram, captioning "2009/2019 I get to grow older with the love of my life, for the rest of my days. 💍 I adore you Clay. Thankful is an understatement" on one, and "11.28.19 He’s my home ❤️" on another.

Besides the engagement, Clayton may have another big surprise coming down the pipeline. Last month, Hilary Duff told E! News she was "pretty sure there’s going to be, there’s going to be a thing" between Lizzie and Ethan on the Lizzie McGuire revival coming to Disney Plus. She also hilariously said Ethan "is hot ... very hot."

We can't wait to see what happens between Lizzie and Ethan. Back in 2015, MTV News asked Clayton what he thought happened to Ethan, and he said, "He’s mayor. Honestly, he’s gotta get people to like him and get an administration around him to run the show. Ethan loves having his friends and having a good time and I think that would provide him with that and it would be a no-brainer. He can wear his suits and look cool. There was an episode where I was the President of the USA, [so] he certainly has the potential to go very far."

With that knowledge in mind, it'll be fun to see where Disney Plus decides to take Ethan's storyline. Until then, we'll just be swooning over Clayton's adorable engagement pics. Congrats to the happy couple!
